Sinopsis
Aphrodite: An Epic of Love and Eternal Desire is an epic poem of twenty-five cantos (in progress), written in elevated style and Homeric resonances. At its core lives the figure of Venus, goddess of love, as the center and mirror of the multiple forms that desire has taken over the centuries. The poem travels through the domains of Olympus, the Underworld, the Earth and human hearts, interweaving classical myths, sensual stories and philosophical visions. This poetic journey honors not only the ancient gods and heroes—Aphrodite, Eros, Achilles, Patroclus, Galatea, Hector, Heracles, Hades—but also the contemporary reader, inviting him to inhabit each verse as one who inhabits his own memory of desire. More than a tribute to love, Aphrodite is a living, intense, erotic and mystical invocation of the force that continues to sustain the world, even when it seems to crumble.
