Sinopse

Truog Island is a desolate place where sexual activity is outlawed. There lives Trip Yash, bored out of his mind. That was until he met Cron. After a night of passion, Cron disappears taking Trip's virginity with him. A few days later, Trip develops a rash on his hand that eventually blooms into a gun made from his own flesh. It's not long before Trip becomes a living weapon locked in a battle against an ancient virus that threatens to ruin his island home. As his body continues to change, terrifying forces emerge with the power to weaponize the dead. For fans of Clive Barker and David Cronenberg, Weaponized is a nerve-shattering exploration of sexual identity and people?s strange relationship with tools of death. It is a Kafka-esque horror take on sexual orientation and sexually transmitted infections, and how we villainize those who are different.

From the mysterious, magical town of Gracetown to the aftermath of a pandemic to the reaches of the far future, Due’s stories all share a sense of dread and fear balanced with heart and hope.In some of these stories, the monster is racism itself; others address the monster within, each set against the supernatural or surreal. All are written with Due’s trademark attention to detail and deeply drawn characters. In addition to previously published work, this collection contains brand-new stories, including “Rumpus Room,” a supernatural horror novelette set in Florida about a woman’s struggle against both outer and inner demons.

Starring Colin Baker as Van Helsing. In writing Dracula, Bram Stoker created a universe full of rich characters, dark and foreboding locations, and a tangled web of loyalties, relationships and motivations. Despite the story being fictional -at least one hopes that’s the case - many elements within the story were reflections and analogies of the Stoker family and their history.A little over 120 years after the book’s original release, Bram’s great-grandnephew Dacre Stoker has teamed up with author Chris McAuley to create a series of short stories set within the StokerVerse, each narrated from the point of view of one of the characters we all know - or think we know - so well.In this episode, Professor Van Helsing confronts a somewhat familiar figure who stalks Whitechapel. Now he must make a terrible decision, but what of the consequences? If you’re a fan of vampires - particularly those of a more gothic nature - then these brand-new adventures will surely appeal to you. With Dacre Stoker’s major contribution, these stories are the most significant addition to the official Dracula canon since Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
