Beschreibung

In a world awash with fleeting trends and ever-changing societal norms, "Beyond Rules: Embracing Divine Laws for Unyielding Success" stands as a beacon of timeless wisdom and unchanging principles. This groundbreaking book navigates the often blurry line between man-made rules and the immutable laws of nature and divinity, offering a profound exploration of what it truly means to achieve success in every aspect of life.
From the historical injustices that have been justified by man-made rules to the miraculous acts that defy scientific explanation, the book delves deep into the concept that while humans are bound by the laws of society, true fulfillment and success are found by aligning oneself with the higher, divine laws that govern existence. With compelling arguments and undeniable evidence, it challenges readers to re-evaluate their understanding of success, urging them to look beyond societal expectations and towards a more purposeful and principled way of living.
Through the ten laws for success, including discovering your purpose, cultivating perception, and the power of persistence, this book not only provides a roadmap to personal achievement but also offers a new lens through which to view the world. Each chapter is a testament to the strength found in divine principles, highlighting the importance of breaking free from the confines of man-made rules that limit potential and stifle creativity.
"Beyond Rules: Embracing Divine Laws for Unyielding Success" is not just a book; it's a movement towards a life of greater meaning, authenticity, and impact. It's an invitation to transcend the ordinary, to defy the odds, and to embrace the laws that truly govern success. Whether you're seeking guidance in personal growth, leadership, or spiritual development, this book will illuminate your path and empower you to achieve the extraordinary, grounded in the wisdom that has sustained humanity through the ages.

The only way to change culture is to create culture.
Most of the time, we just consume or copy culture. But that is not enough. We must also do more than condemn or critique it. The only way to change it is to create it.
For too long, Christians have had an insufficient view of culture and have waged misguided "culture wars." But Andy Crouch says we must reclaim the cultural mandate to be the creative cultivators God designed us to be. Culture is what we make of the world, both in making cultural artifacts as well as in making sense of the world around us.
In this expanded edition of his award-winning book Crouch unpacks the complexities of how culture works, the dynamics of cultural change, and tools for cultivating culture. Keen biblical exposition demonstrates that creating culture is central to the whole scriptural narrative, the ministry of Jesus, and the call to the church. With a conversation between Crouch and Tish Harrison Warren as the new afterword, this expanded edition addresses the current landscape and forges a way for the future of culture making. Enter into it with guided questions for reflection and discussion for a deeper experience.

I originally hand wrote this book in the mid to late 90's; but had never published it. It is a prequel to my book "I AM HERE: My Faith Journey as a Survivor" published May 2022. The prequel spans my courtship, 9 year marriage that was emotionally abusive and my divorce after having two children. It was after the divorce that I survived a woman's worst nightmare. I was raped at gunpoint. My faith was strengthened as I experienced the criminal justice system first hand. I believe this book can help others see that God's plan is always the best for us and that His Grace is sufficient in all things. My hope for you is that you can experience what the New Living Translation Bible says in Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!" I am a woman of faith that listens carefully to the voice in my heart. I have written and published two books now that the Lord has inspired in me. I have relied on my faith throughout my life and it has guided me through many trials; divorce, miscarriages, rape, the criminal justice system, and surviving COVID even though I was not expected to live. I have been happily retired living the quiet country life with my husband for the past 5 years after teaching for 40 years. I am keeping up with my 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 months to 16 years old. I enjoy 2 stepping with my husband and we will be taking up Square Dancing in 2023. I enjoy hosting family gatherings at my home, reading books for book club, working out at the gym, and enjoying life to the fullest.

500-Year Journey examines historical and scriptural evidence to identify the date Christ was born, which wasn’t December 25th!For more than two-thousand years, Christians and skeptics have sought the truth of Jesus’ birth—with many looking in the wrong places. One group studied the stars and astrology for answers, to determine what the Magi might have seen, but that only created more questions. Others looked to mathematical calculations and tradition, but mistaken variables led them astray. Both of these approaches have contributed to the modern version of Christmas, but they have also obscured God’s truth.Corey Piper’s 500-Year Journeymakes the case that God revealed exactly when the Messiah would be born. The answer is in his Law, foreshadowed with biblical and historical events and confirmed by what the Magi saw. This resource will take readers from the exile in Babylon to the manger in Bethlehem, to a stunning encounter with God’s elaborate plan.
