The prayers contained in The Powerful Book of Doce Pares serve as an ultimate shield, offering divine protection against all forms of harm—even bullets from firearms, bombs, hand grenades, fire, wind, and all types of weapons. With these sacred orations, no sharp object or enemy, including those who wield invisibility charms or dark spells, can inflict harm upon you. This extraordinary protection extends not only to the practitioner but also to their entire family.

Beyond defense, this book is a treasure trove of ancient wisdom. It includes prayers for healing, powerful love charms, and detailed methods for testing and identifying mystical stones (mutya) to determine their true power. Additionally, it provides sacred orations for locating mystical stones, uncovering the legendary Doce Pares, and unlocking hidden spiritual forces that have been passed down for generations.

Feminism affects us all and a sound basic knowledge of the subject is essential, especially at the moment. In this book, you will learn what all these terms mean and how they relate to feminism. But what exactly is feminism? Haven't we all had equal rights for a long time?
In which areas is feminism necessary? Does feminism also help men? And what can I do for feminism? These questions are answered in this book. Once you understand how sexism works, how it manifests itself and how feminism can help combat it, you too can contribute to creating a modern world without gender discrimination.

Despite twenty-first-century fears of nuclear conflagrations with North Korea, Russia, and Iran, the Cuban Missile Crisis is the closest the United States has come to nuclear war. That history has largely been a bilateral narrative of the US-USSR struggle for postwar domination, with Cuba as the central staging ground—a standard account that obscures the shock waves that reverberated throughout Latin America. This first hemispheric examination of the Cuban Missile Crisis shows how leaders and ordinary citizens throughout the region experienced it, revealing that, had the missiles been activated, millions of people across Latin America would have been at grave risk.Traversing the region from the Southern Cone to Central America, Renata Keller describes the deadly riots that shook Bolivia when news of the Cuban Missile Crisis broke, the naval quarantine that members of Argentina's armed forces formed around Cuba, the pro-Castro demonstrations organized by Nicaraguan students, and much more. Drawing on a vast array of archival sources from around the hemisphere and world, The Fate of the Americas demonstrates that even at the brink of destruction, Latin Americans played active roles in global politics and inter-American relations.

A socio-psychological look at what has formed our society and suggestions of where it is going seriously wrong. Planned development, demonstrated self-discipline, calm discussion with clear beliefs and community traditions enable stability within a growing worldwide society. Stable family and educational experiences are the key to each child's happy and successful development. Neo-liberal lax and soft society is destroying stability as well as our future. Previous guides such as politeness, manners, quality, and uncorrupted religion are just as relevant when we venture beyond neglect and doctrinal corruption.

Emily and I combined our powers and had an in-depth chat about Laurie Lawrence, his character arc and the lack of it in every-single-little-women adaptation. In the novel, Laurie starts out as a very idle and sometimes pretty misogynistic figure and it is thanks to Amy he becomes a better person, but these elements of him are not in the adaptations.
Friedrich Bhaer is based on philosopher Henry David Thoreau. Louisa was in love with him and he appears in literal disguise in all of her novels. He is also based on Alcott's favourite writer, the German poet Goethe. Unlike Greta Gerwig lies to millions of people, Jo and Friedrich never argue in the book, and Friedrich is the one who helps her to become a writer. Laurie is partially based on Alcott's ex, Laddie Wisniewski, and her friend Alf Whitman. She had a maternal relationship with both of these men who were younger than she. One of the goals of the Little Women podcast is to examine these relationships, and how Little Women adaptations ignore their significance. 150 year Laurie problem was the first episode of the Little Women podcast and it has become one of my most downloaded episodes. I am very humbled and happy about this. I do think it is imporant that film industry would pay more attention to his character. I hope you enjoy this chat between Emily and I.
Please notice that this is a short-form book, based on a podcast episode.
