🎷 In the sultry shadows of 1918 New Orleans, death has a rhythm all its own.
When a string of brutal, axe-wielding murders shatters the city’s uneasy peace, Detective Louis Beaulieu is thrust into a chilling hunt for a phantom whose only calling cards are shattered skulls and bloodstained jazz notes. As fear grips the streets, the elusive Axeman sends a nightmarish ultimatum to the public: play jazz through the night—or face the blade.
With each new body, the line between madness and music blurs. Beneath the surface of this city steeped in secrets, something darker is composing a symphony of terror. Beaulieu must navigate a twisted maze of smoke-filled clubs, cryptic messages, and haunted minds—where every clue is a note in a macabre composition, and silence could be the prelude to death.
As the killer’s melody crescendos, Beaulieu faces a truth more sinister than he ever imagined—one that threatens to consume him and the soul of New Orleans itself.
The Axeman of New Orleans is a heart-pounding historical thriller where jazz and horror intertwine. Prepare to leave the lights on—and the music playing. 🔊
Some symphonies should never be heard...🎶

Miss Sutherland only knows that he works in an office in Leadenhall Street, but nothing more specific than that. All his letters to her are typewritten, even the signature, and he insists that she write back to him through the local Post Office. The climax of the sad liaison comes when Mr. Angel abandons Miss Sutherland at the altar on their wedding day.Famous works of the author Arthur Conan Doyle's: "A Study in Scarlet", "Silver Blaze", "The Hound of the Baskervilles", "The Yellow Face", "A Scandal in Bohemia", "The Red-Headed League", A Case of Identity", "The Boscombe Valley Mystery", "The Five Orange Pips", "The Man with the Twisted Lip", "The Blue Carbuncle", "The Speckled Band", "The Engineer's Thumb", "The Noble Bachelor", "The Beryl Coronet", "The Copper Beeches" and many more.

"The Problem of Thor Bridge" is a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery by Arthur Conan Doyle in The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, first published in 1922 in The Strand Magazine.
Neil Gibson, the Gold King and former Senator from "some Western state", approaches Holmes to investigate the murder of his wife Maria in order to clear his children's governess, Grace Dunbar, of the crime. It soon emerges that Mr. Gibson's marriage had been unhappy and he treated his wife very badly. He had fallen in love with her when he met her in Brazil, but soon realised they had nothing in common. He became attracted to Miss Dunbar; since he could not marry her, he had attempted to please her in other ways, such as trying to help people less fortunate than himself.

There’s a murderer on the loose on a storm swept island cut off from the Scottish mainland. It’s down to Losers Club, a quirky weight loss group led by the intrepid Penny Moon, to catch the culprit.

When Old Archie the postman is shot and ends up in Mrs Hubbard's ice cream freezer, the whole island is aghast. Especially Mr Hubbard, who objects strongly to having to move all the ice lollies into the other freezer. Newly divorced and desperate to make a life for herself and her teenage children, Penny Moon arrives on Vik just in the nick of time, before the island is cut off by a storm. Her weight loss business doesn't have the best of starts, when a series of blunders leads to it being called Losers Club. However, it does have the best of people - a decent, disparate bunch who decide that, with the police unlikely to arrive any time soon and a murderer on the loose, it is down to Losers Club to investigate. As they dig deeper into the mystery, they uncover a dark secret, kept by the older islanders for almost half a century. A secret that has come back to haunt them and threatens their very existence.
