Warren Brown has been writing Poetry since the age of Eighteen and has published a number of his poems in magazines, newspapers, blogs,poetry.com and in the Anthology of Poetry, published by the Watermark Press, USA. Warren enjoys writing poems and has also tried his hand at writing a variety of verse, from the Limerick to the Clerihew. In a number of his poems, Warren likes to narrate a story, while creating a character and a situation, using powerful word imagery. The Reader will find the poems of Warren Brown to be both inspiring and educational, with a lot of positive expressions related to life, the nature of man, the growth of the person, the development of society, in our Modern Age and the evolution of the human race.

An anthology of stories can be a fun thing or a scary one. 
Deciding what goes into an anthology can be daunting. Too much romance and some folks may decide it is ‘too mushy’. Put too much humour in, and others will say, ‘there is no substance’. Go with more science fiction, or fantasy, or horror, and you will have some folks just not pick up the book. 
Finding the perfect ‘mix’ is a challenge for sure. 
‘Stories to Share with My Partner – Book 3’ presents what I hope is a good mix of stories and poetry to make everyone happy. 
You have some love stories, ‘The Red Bug’ and the ‘The Coat’, for example, while science fiction is covered in ‘When the Future Arrives’ and ‘Coordinates’. 
Funny stories are what I enjoy writing about, and there are few in this book. 
‘So That Is When the Fight Started’ is something many can relate too and in ‘Jerk’ I take a different approach to ‘superheroes’.

The Things I Meant to Say

Barrett began writing love poems in his early 20's. He is a distant relative of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and when introduced to her work became immediately inspired. This book is comprised of poems Barrett has written over the past 40 years. They are both love poems and inspirational poems which he hopes will be enjoyed by readers of all ages. Many of the love poems were dedicated to his first real love, Lynn, and others written to his late wife, Patricia to whom he was married for 37 years. Some of the poetry is lyrical and some prose. His hope is that you will be touched by the words, perhaps warming your heart and those around you, whether remembering past or current loves, friends and family.
