Sinopsis

Scientific theories are never "true or "false"; they are "good" or "bad" in various degrees, and the criterion is one of usefulness—predictability and manipulation to (seeming) advantage. Theories are often discarded, simply because evidence may be insufficient for one, where it seems to sustain another—or where another can account for observed phenomena more simply. Take Lamarck's theories on the effect of environment on heredity; so far, the evidence seems to put this in the "bad" classification. But if certain experiments could be made....

    Do you hear that call?

In the smoke above the cold waters of the Volkhov River, a Name is being born. A name destined to become a destiny. A land where the Varangian sword meets the Slavic plow, and the whispers of ancient spirits drown out the clang of steel, awaits its hour. But the true battle for the future of Rus' is not fought on battlefields. It is woven in the shadows of the prince's hall, where three sisters spin a web of intrigue, and deep in the forest, where she lives—the one who sees the quantum thread of reality itself.

Rus': The Seven Keys is more than a story of princes and warriors. It is a deep immersion into the mythology, politics, and soul of a people. Together with Prince Rurik, the wise witch Agrafena, and those who become the living embodiment of the seven pillars of Russian civilization, you will journey from the chaos of tribes to the birth of a great power. This is a novel about how Will, Mercy, Order, Memory, Knowledge, Truth, and Unity intertwine into one inseparable pattern—a pattern whose name is Rus'.

In the year 862, the Viking chieftain Rurik is invited to rule the warring tribes of the Ilmen region. But his greatest enemy is not rebellious chieftains or foreign invaders. His enemy is the chaos in men's minds, and his weapon is not a sword, but a name for a new land. A name that must not be conquered, but remembered.

He seeks counsel from one who lives on the boundary of worlds—Agrafena, a forest wisewoman who sees reality as a web of living energies. She teaches him a secret: the strength of a nation lies not in iron, but in the harmony of seven eternal archetypes.

On the surface, Elara Vance has the perfect life. A successful architect, a devoted husband, and a stunning glass-walled home overlooking the serene waters of Lake Serenity. But perfection is a fragile facade, and Elara feels it cracking. Her husband, Leo, has become distant, his late nights at the office filled with whispered phone calls and a coldness that chills her more than the lake’s deepest waters.

Then comes the annual summer solstice party, a glittering spectacle for their elite community. Amidst the champagne and laughter, Elara sees a look pass between Leo and her best friend, Margot. A look that speaks of secrets shared in the dark. Hours later, as a storm lashes the lake, Margot vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only a single high-heeled shoe on the rain-slicked dock.

As the police investigation focuses on a tragic accident, Elara begins her own quiet search. She discovers a second phone hidden in Leo’s study, filled with cryptic messages. She finds a locket she gave Margot years ago, tucked beneath the floorboards of their boathouse. Each clue pulls her deeper into a web of lies, suggesting Margot’s disappearance was not an accident, but a carefully planned silence.

Now, Elara must question everything she thought she knew about her marriage, her friendship, and the peaceful town she calls home. Someone is watching her every move, someone who will do anything to keep the truth buried beneath the lake’s placid surface. To find her friend, Elara must unravel the perfect life she built, before she becomes the next secret the lake swallows whole.
