Sinopsis

Detective Brady Lindstrom deals in death, and not just because he's a homicide cop with the slaughter of a century to solve. Ten years ago, vampires murdered his lover. Ever since, he's looked over his shoulder, ready for vampires to strike again. Or maybe just the one he loved.
Exhausted and angry about the needless deaths he has to investigate, Brady worries the killers he's looking for aren't even human. Those fears are compounded by an unexpected visitor, the battered and nearly broken Cole Singer, the lover he'd long ago given up for dead.
When Cole offers to trade information on the killers in exchange for sanctuary, Brady realizes he doesn't have a choice. It isn't about justice. He simply can't turn his back on the face of the only man he's ever loved. Even if he's a vampire.

Emery never expected her life to change with a single painting. When the artwork in her childhood bedroom reveals a doorway to another world, everything she thought she knew about reality begins to unravel. She is drawn into a realm ruled by a dark and powerful queen, a place where forests whisper secrets, shadows hide danger, and magic bends the rules of time and space.
In this perilous world, Emery must rely on her courage, her wits, and a mysterious connection she cannot explain. At the heart of it all is Rhiannon, whose presence is both a challenge and a comfort. Together they navigate treacherous landscapes, unravel hidden truths, and face dangers that test not only their skill but the strength of their hearts. As fear and wonder collide, what begins as trust grows into a love that neither expected but cannot ignore.
Every moment becomes charged with intensity as Emery and Rhiannon's bond deepens, their connection a fragile light in a world filled with shadows. Every touch, every glance, carries risk and desire, drawing them closer even as the queen's power threatens to overwhelm them.
In a place where nothing is certain and every choice has consequences, they discover that love can be as transformative and unpredictable as magic itself. Yet the darkness is patient and relentless, and danger waits in every hidden corner. Can their hearts endure the trials ahead? Will their love be enough to survive a world that seems determined to tear them apart, or will it be the very thing that costs them everything?

Pretending to be in love never felt so real.
Henry Lu hates being a superstar. Action movies have left a sour taste in his mouth and filming a queer period drama on the Yorkshire coast sounds like the perfect antidote. Meeting grumpy coffee shop owner, Alex, is the cherry on top.
Alex isn't impressed with the appearance of Hollywood royalty in his life, especially because Henry refuses to accept that Alex doesn't like him. But when rumours about the production draw the attention of stuffy streaming service bigwigs and the ire of Henry’s superhero franchise, Henry and Alex must put on a show and fake a relationship to smooth things over.
Alex doesn’t want a relationship, and Henry isn’t good at them, but their arrangement is only supposed to be for a few months, then they'll both be free to go back to their lives. The only problem is that pretending to be in love never felt so real.
Like I Pretended is a slow burn contemporary MM romance featuring a sunshine Hollywood superstar whose never been told no, a grumpy coffee shop owner who wants to be left alone, bad attempts at flirting, terrible catering, and finding home.
It is book four in the Heather Bay series and while it can be listened to as a standalone, it’s best enjoyed as part of the series.

Time and time again, Ryu the Ravenous has petitioned to be allowed to move to the human realm, but every application has been denied. As a black dragon of near royal blood with plenty of gemstones in his treasure cave, many females want him for a mate. Ryu doesn't want a female mate, though, and when he's badly burned in a conflict between tribes, he sees his chance to escape.

Egil Olsen is running The Book Dragon's Lair, a bookstore on Dragon Row, while Draken the Dreadful, his mate, is away fighting a war on the other side of the veil. The relief of not having Draken around is great. For the first time in years, Egil doesn't have to watch every move he makes. When word reaches him that Draken is on his way home after having been injured, he considers running away.

The dragon stepping over the threshold to The Book Dragon's Lair isn't Draken, though. He claims to be, but Egil knows his mate, and while all dragons are dangerous, the male standing before him is nowhere near as cruel as his mate. Ryu never wanted to be a book dragon. Books don't sparkle, but if it's the price he has to pay to be in the human realm, he will pay it. He'll take over Draken the Dreadful's treasure, and he hopes he can take over his mate, too. Egil doesn't want to be mated to a dragon, but without a mate, he'd be homeless and without a job.

A few hours after having met Ryu, Egil thinks being mated to him might not be too bad, but how will they be able to fool the people around them into believing Ryu is Draken? And what will happen if the real Draken comes back?
