Sinopsis

French Fairy Tales introduce you to the folklore of the Western Europe. Apart from epic narratives, songs of trouvère and troubadours, fairy tales rank number one in the french folklore. The genre became popularized by Charles Perrault, whose fairy tales Bluebeard, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Puss in Boots are famous all around the world, and Marie Catherine d'Aulnoy, who ivented the term “fairy tale”. The surrealistic fairy tale The Cock's Wife shows us how our kindness may get us into great troubles. It tells us a story of the cock's wife who was so generous and kind that she wanted to help a passer-by and gave him a purse with a hundred crowns she had recently found. As a matter of fact, the stranger, who had promised to return the crowns, never did it, and the cock's wife had to risk her own life to find the man and get the purse back. What undertakings did she have to go through? It's time to find out.
