Amy Chamberlain has never been one for motivational slogans or rose-tinted glasses. She’s the kind of woman who expects the worst—only to be mildly surprised when life occasionally delivers something better.
But somewhere between failed diets, disastrous first dates, and the endless chaos of everyday life, she’s discovered that optimism doesn’t always have to arrive in grand gestures. Sometimes it’s hidden in burnt toast that still tastes fine, in friendships that outlast heartbreak, or in simply making it through the day without crying in the supermarket car park.
With humour, honesty, and a touch of hard-won wisdom, Confessions of a Reluctant Optimist is a candid exploration of what it means to search for silver linings when you’re more comfortable expecting thunderstorms.
For anyone who has ever rolled their eyes at “positive vibes only” but secretly hoped for a happy ending, this is the book that says: you don’t have to be a natural optimist to find joy—you just have to keep looking.

Emotionally uplifting, poignant fiction at its best💔 Perfect for the fans of Rowan Coleman, Dani Atkins and Jojo Moyes. 💞💕
One woman's journey to wrestle with her past and find happiness 🗝️
Sarah-Jane Crosse, SJ to her friends, is desperate to avoid going to her parents’ ruby wedding anniversary party. She’s terrified of introducing her husband, Tom, to her estranged sister, Alison, because the sisters have history. Alison covets everything that belongs to SJ.
With her anxiety spiralling, SJ knows she often has one or two glasses of wine too many and after a disastrously drunken night she reaches out for help. However, help does not begin at home. Tom is not supportive. Seemingly in denial he misses SJ’s distress calls, and SJ begins to second-guess herself. Everyone drinks. Right? It's hardly a massive problem? She’s perfectly fine, isn't she?
Meanwhile, her very supportive best friend, Tania, has a surprising secret and SJ is determined to help her out. But navigating through this lot isn’t easy.
With the help of an ever-faithful dog, a few reformed characters, and a lot of self-reflection and home truths, the future is looking a whole lot brighter for SJ and the statistics speak for themselves - she is one in a million...
A moving, heart-rending and uplifting novel of love, hope and self renewal.

    Not a kids' story
Blake "The Grinch" Alexander is suffering the Christmas blues again as a Santa's helper for a case and his son Lance isn't helping him either.
This a dark Santa Christmas story that is not child friendly. The only green monster in this story Is a Christmas tree on the cover.
Christmas carols rang around the photo with Santa area a child wandered up to Santa Claus and sat on his lap.
"What do you want little boy," moaned Santa who sounded like he would rather be somewhere else.
Nearby Santa's adult son watched him joyfully.
"I cannot believe you got Blake playing Santa again he hates Christmas," said Santa's wife Angela to her stepson.
"It wasn't me It was Argent a Santa in the Santa's agency was murdered. He's undercover as Santa to find the killer," said Santa's son Lance.
Lance left his stepmother and walked over to his father shouting "Grinch, are you trying to steal Christmas again?"
Santa moaned and tossed off the child ignoring him.
"What do you want, boy to kill Christmas too," Santa moaned at his serial killer son.
"The Grinch has to go feed the dead, come back later," said Lance glaring with eyes like fire at the nervous crying children who wanted to sit on Santa's lap.
"Congratulations you've killed Christmas," moaned Santa feeling pity for the scared children, "Ignore the bad man he's getting coal for Christmas."
"I'm not going there, dad," said his son knowing giving coal was unwoke and he could have said many things but didn't.
"Oh come with me you brat!" said Santa dragging his son away.
