Fraudcoin is an excellent book exploring the role of inflation on politics and world history. Inflation is largely a political decision that impacts all aspects of society and can bring down mighty empires, yet there is little debate about why inflation occurs and the immense repercussions. This book is an important contribution toward educating the public that the destructive power of inflation is not an unfortunate act of nature, but the result of reckless policy.
Glenn Diesen, Professor, University of South-Eastern Norway, Department of Business, History and Social Sciences
This is an incredibly important book. It lays out the story of the inflation policy in a clear, precise, and easy-to-understand way. It is absolutely necessary for a healthy society to have healthy money, but that will not happen until most people understand what sound money is, and why the inflation policy creates sick money.

Rune Østgård’s easy-to-read book explains what inflation is and how it affects the society.
The book takes us through 1000 Years of Inflation as a Policy, beginning with the Viking age and King Harald Hardrada, who introduced the death penalty for those who did not accept his coins as payment.
With lessons learned from the historical narrative, it is easy to join the author on the ‘journey of money’ through modern society, as he demonstrates how inflation redistributes wealth from the working and middle classes to the upper class, speculators, and the state, and away from the countryside and into the big cities.
The book includes a discussion on several issues related to monetary policy, including national security, cryptocurrency, saving and investment, and if it is correct to say that “a little inflation is good for the economy” and that “our system is based on trust”.

From Ashes to OpportunityI see that my purpose—my love—is fixing things. Families, after my dad left. Businesses, struggling to survive. Boats, deserving of glory instead of ashes. —Wes WheelerWes Wheeler has spent his life fixing things. From a young age, the New York native witnessed the decline of his family’s multi-generational boat business, watching it, quite literally, burn to the ground. While sorting through the ashes of the once successfully run company alongside his father, Wheeler’s future was decided for him. Instead of succumbing to the idea that businesses disintegrate and leave behind hordes of unemployed workers, their mission buried beneath burned bridges and abandoned dreams, Wheeler opted to arm himself with a work ethic built on faith, drive, and dogged determination. In The Turnaround Leader, Wheeler recounts his decades of managing projects for rising and falling companies, reshaping organizations, and restructuring business models to stand the test of time. Wheeler’s lifetime of ambition was launched during his humble beginnings as a paper delivery boy, where he discovered the little shifts that make a big difference, from the way he angled the papers he threw, to how he engaged with customers and mapped out his routes. These tiny lessons compounded over time and bolstered him while he faced difficult economic headwinds and ill-suited business leaders that preceded him, his most rewarding challenge being his leadership role during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a world where business models are rapidly changing and employment is never promised, Wheeler’s ability to adapt is both inspiring and achievable.

What do we mean by development? How can citizens, governments, and the international community foster development?
The process by which nations escape poverty and achieve economic and social progress has been the subject of extensive examination for hundreds of years. The notion of development itself has evolved from an original preoccupation with incomes and economic growth to a much broader understanding of development.
In this Very Short Introduction Ian Goldin considers the contributions that education, health, gender, equity, and other dimensions of human well-being make to development, and discusses why it is also necessary to include the role of institutions and the rule of law as well as sustainability and environmental concerns.

But if we’re capable of aspiring to something better and making plans to achieve it, why is it sometimes so hard to reach that next level of success? It all comes back to our minds. Maybe we’re making off-base assumptions we’re not even aware of. Or maybe we’re operating off partial or outdated information. Whatever the issue, to achieve the results we want, we first must look at our thinking. By understanding the latest science about how the brain works, we can leverage it to maximize our performance. Our daily experience, our plans and goals, our actions and reactions are all the product of our thoughts and mindset.Drawing upon the latest insights from the fields of performance psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive science, as well as case studies from clients and their own personal experiences, Michael Hyatt and Megan Hyatt Miller explore the power of ideas to shape superior outcomes, not only in business, but in every aspect of life.
