Summary

"Jude the Obscure" is the last novel published by Thomas Hardy in 1895. This work is considered a heretic (a copy of the book was burned in public by the bishop of Exeter). The protagonist of the story is Jude Fawley, a young man belonging to the proletariat who has the dream of becoming a writer. Thus, despite his rather poor social status, he decides to try to enter in a prestigious university. Jude, then he leaves for the city of "Christminster" and here, first, he works as a bricklayer to maintain himself. Jude, then he leaves for the city of "Christminster" and here, first, he works as a bricklayer to maintain himself. In that city, his life will begin to change, several disappointing relationships and an avant-garde love will characterize his years in "Christminster". The plot of this work is very complex and even the role of the smallest details serves to fully understand the psychology and  the fate of each character ...

Angelique wants nothing more than to meet her personal Prince Charming. She becomes involved in a domestic case, and the officer in the case takes a liking to her stern attitude and brilliance in domestic law.
Frederick comes back after being shunned and verbally excused from this teacher’s presence. She is aware of everything, except that he is readily and eagerly interested in her. After accepting a hasty date decision, Angelique decides that maybe a Prince Charming may come to her after all.
Mystery and suspense fill this man’s life, making Angelique wary of whom she is actually with. Could this be the honest officer that suddenly asked her out? Should she really be here or think twice about the whole thing? Every decision seems to be made for Angelique, although she feels she is making each one on her own.
Will Angelique find her true Prince Charming? Will Mr. Frederick be as special and wonderful and beautiful as he is making everything around her? Or will she be at wits end again, wondering if her Prince Charming will ever show? Watch Angelique jump candlesticks to get to where she wants to be, and with who she really needs to be from a true story short tale.

Don Juan (Spanish), Don Giovanni (Italian) is a legendary, fictional libertine. Although the various iterations of the Don Juan myth show some variation, the basic story remains the same. Don Juan is portrayed as a wealthy, seductive libertine who devotes his life to seducing women, taking great pride in his ability to seduce women of all ages and stations in life. Don Giovanni, an opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte, is arguably the best-known version. First performed in Prague in 1787, it inspired works by E. T. A. Hoffmann, Alexander Pushkin, Søren Kierkegaard, George Bernard Shaw, and Albert Camus. Here, Librivox volunteers read an English translation of da Ponte's libretto.Dramatis Personae:Don Juan: Beth ThomasDonna Anna: AvailleDon Octavio: ToddHWDon Pedro: alanmapstoneDonna Elvira: Elizabeth KlettLeperello: Larry WilsonZerlina: Kristin GjerløwMasetto: John BurlinsonChorus woman: rotgoldChorus woman: KHandStage Directions & Editor: MaryAnnS

A poetic guide for Armageddon, this poetry collection moves through technological disasters, environmental nightmares, and broken relationships to find love cast away at the end of days. The urban settings are counterbalanced with the idea of escape, deserted islands, and ocean solitudes. In this assemblage of playful, challenging, and beautiful poems, Jacqueline Turner uses the interrobang's question mark combined with an exclamation point, the excited question's a symbol of our times to move the work through a host of genres. Like notes washed ashore in bottles, this book seeks an exchange and its scope is as vast as the question of how to survive modernity.
