In 1976, Di Rushing and her husband, Sam decided to open the first winery in Mississippi. Their business was thriving by 1990, with eight national award-winning wines, a beautiful vineyard, and a successful restaurant.

But in March of 1990, a series of unforeseen events rocked the operation. After the Rushings discovered one of the tour guides, Ray Russell, selling drugs in the winery parking lot, they fired him. He responded with a terrorizing vengeance that persisted over the next nine months. In the early morning hours, the former guide broke into the winery and released the entire inventory—nearly a quarter of a million dollars' worth—down the drain. Fortunately, his incompetence thwarted his most destructive intention to blow up the restaurant. In his rampage, he broke all the windows, which allowed the gas from the kitchen oven to escape, sparing the premises. Though the Rushings rebuilt with the help of their community, Russell continued to stalk and threaten the young family. As his menacing behavior continued to escalate, the Rushings closed their business of fourteen years and moved to Ouray, Colorado, where they began rebuilding their lives. Culminating in the sudden, violent murders of Russell, his wife, and his father twenty-five years later, this book tells a story of both shock and resilience, charting Mississippi history in the process.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. rauma is karma. Karma is trauma.

    This equation changes everything.

What you call character flaws are conditioned survival patterns.
The rage that erupts when coffee spills.
The freeze when your boss criticizes.
The helplessness you feel when you "cannot act otherwise."

These are not fate. These are not punishment. These are neural pathways, carved deep, firing in milliseconds.

Between impulse and action lies a window. Inside that span, freedom lives.

In this groundbreaking work, physician and philosopher Fritz H. Hemmerich reveals how trauma and karma are two languages for the same deep conditioning, and demonstrates why our deepest patterns can be interrupted using cutting-edge neuroscience and ancient wisdom. Discover the power of laminar breathing that calms your system in seconds, learn why trauma heals more effectively when we keep the benefit for others in view (Karma Burning), and understand how epigenetic changes can dissolve generations of conditioning. Through trainable practices such as vital-belt awareness and praeemption, you will learn to interrupt automatic patterns — anger, withdrawal, collapse, people-pleasing — and replace them with grounded presence. This isn't another self-help book. It's a roadmap to neurological liberation, with practical 2-minute exercises, moving case studies, and scientific precision that guides you from automatic reacting to conscious responding — from surviving to thriving.

Ronald Reagan hosted the General Electric Theater TV series which ran from 1953 to 1962. During this time Reagan visited GE’s 135 plants across the country and spoke to audiences of GE’s 250,000 employees. Reagan’s speech focused on the growing power of federal, state, and local governments and the dangers this posed to free market competition and to American liberty. Over the years Reagan continually refined and improved what came to be known as “The Speech”.
Reagan was asked to record a version of his speech to be used to support the presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater during the 1964 presidential campaign. The speech, entitled “A Time for Choosing”, was presented to a national television audience on October 27, 1964, as part of a program titled Rendezvous with Destiny.
David Broder of the Washington Post said the speech was "the most successful national political debut since William Jennings Bryan electrified the 1896 Democratic Convention with his 'Cross of Gold' speech." Following the speech, Reagan was elected Governor of California in 1966. This speech launched Reagan’s career on the national stage and contributed to his reputation as “the Great Communicator”.
