Sinopse

Do not open this book if you are comfortable staying exactly the same. Why does self-improvement often feel exhausting, repetitive, or incomplete? Why does the mind keep searching for answers but never truly rest?Silent Mind Psychology: The Observer Within explores a radical yet gentle insight: the problem is not what you think — it is who believes they are thinking.Blending Eastern contemplative wisdom with modern psychological understanding, this book reveals how the constant effort to “fix yourself” quietly reinforces inner conflict. The mind becomes both the creator of problems and the desperate hero trying to solve them.Instead of offering more techniques, habits, or mental exercises, this book invites a shift in perspective — from doing to observing, from striving to awareness. When the observer is recognized, the noise loses its authority. Restlessness fades not because it was defeated, but because it was never truly personal. This book is not about becoming someone better. It is about seeing who you already are — before the questions begin.

Born in Matagorda, Texas, in 1855, Charlie Siringo went on his first cattle drive at age twelve and spent two decades living his boyhood dream as a cowboy. As the dangerous, lucrative "beeves" business boomed, Siringo drove longhorn steers north to the burgeoning Midwest Plains states' cattle and railroad towns, crossing paths with such legendary figures as Billy the Kid and Bat Masterson. In his early thirties he joined the Pinkerton Detective Agency's Denver office, using a variety of aliases to investigate violent labor disputes and infiltrate outlaw gangs.

Siringo's landmark 1885 autobiography, A Texas Cowboy, helped make the lowly cowboy a heroic symbol of the American West. His later memoir, A Cowboy Detective, influenced early hard-boiled crime novelists for whom the detective story was really the cowboy story in an urban setting. Sadly sued into debt by the Pinkertons, who were determined to prevent their sources and methods from being revealed, Siringo eventually sold his beloved New Mexico ranch and moved to Los Angeles, where he advised Hollywood filmmakers, and especially actor William S. Hart, on their early 1920s Westerns.

In old age, Charlie Siringo was called "Ulysses of the Wild West" for the long journey he took across the western frontier. Son of the Old West brings him and his legendary world vividly to life.

"This might sound like a back-handed compliment, but it is not meant to be: I cannot think of a better, more elegant or more articulate guide to mistruth than Kathleen." – Sathnam Sanghera, author of Empireland: How Imperialism Has Shaped Modern Britain
    ***
"There are a few secrets," he tells me. "A few discoveries that I've never published. Some of the most powerful ones. I wouldn't betray them under torture."
In a time of deep fakes, alternative truths and leaked secrets, it would be easy to think that we are surrounded by lies. While most people are shaking their heads and muttering dark things about the new levels of deceit, former Times journalist Kathleen Wyatt is busy marvelling at how society manages it.
How do we do this extraordinary thing, often under the most ordinary of circumstances? When do we first do it, why do we do it and do we really tell more lies today? Wyatt goes deep into disinformation to find out – but given her own lies, can she even be trusted on this subject?
In this brilliant, wide-ranging study of lies and lying, Wyatt introduces us to a cast of professionals and professional liars – from scientists to investigators, from double agents to toddler specialists, from a fallen titan of industry to a Nobel Peace Prize-winning journalist. Together, they all help her prove a remarkable thesis: lies hold us together as much as they push us apart and they play a vital role in a healthy society.

REALIGN YOUR LIFESTYLE TO YOUR NATURAL DESIGN
Break the fast-expanding bubble created by today’s new culture. Your modern lifestyle, enforced by the toxic cultural bubble, does not match your natural, inherited design and even acts against it.
The rapid progress of modern science and technology has provided us with incredible capabilities, yet it has also brought us more ways to harm ourselves. The toxicity of the bubble comes only in part from unnatural, artificial, harmful chemicals in our food and environment. Worse, it encourages us to replace healthy, good habits with new, harmful ones.
This mismatch between our lifestyle and our design, which humanity did not see until a few decades ago, is damaging our physical and mental health. It creates weakness and unnecessary suffering. It is the root cause of most chronic diseases today, which are increasing rapidly, even in the young. From the water we drink and the way we eat to how we give birth nowadays, many things have changed for the worse.
Aided by technological advances, our culture is resetting the values of previous generations and disconnecting us from who we are, from nature, and from our ancestors' wisdom. This greatly amplifies our self-destructive, natural human inclination to abuse and damage ourselves and others. But it doesn’t need to be this way anymore.
I provide step-by-step instructions on how to successfully detox and achieve true, complete health—physical, mental, and spiritual. I explain why so many modern diets work temporarily but fail to succeed long-term and show you how to overcome this issue.
Only you can harness your almost unlimited inner resources to steer yourself out of the damaging bubble and onto the road of health and purpose. Are you ready to break your bubble?
