Sinopse

The legendary novel Pulp Mania is back on the streets in its original form and eBook also. In the eBook and hardback editions the legendary novel is presented with an author interview, colour plates of Stewart Home and enumerative bibliographic hand list.
'Let us not forget, ladies and gentlemen,' Chickenfeed announced as Christine mounted her man, 'that fiction has played an important role in the development of Western sexuality. Among other things, the terms Sadism and Masochism are derived from the names of men who wrote pornographic novels.'
Pure Mania is set in an almost fictional anarcho-punk milieu around the squats and council estates of East London. This trashy adventure story takes the form of a blatantly falsified tour of eighties youth trends. It's a pastiche of the fiction published by New English Library during the 1970's.
Situationist fun and anarcho-punk adventure à la Jamie Reid meets Cockney Red street violence, Pure Mania by Stewart Home was first published by Polygon Books in 1989.
MARX CHRIST AND SATAN UNITED IN STRUGGLE
Pure Mania is a pulp tragicomedy set in London's punk and skinhead scene at a time when both ready to blow the British Isles to hell.
SEXUAL PERVERSION AT ITS VERY WORST
Pure Mania is a tragic Trotskyist triangular tale of politics and love between two men and one woman. Tracy is a militant vegan who is willing to sacrifice everything to save the third world. And in order to get her Paul gives up coffee and other women and Edward gives up his Nazi uniform and other men.
¡ SEX AND ECO-TERRORISME !

    “Intense….A higher caliber of entertainment.”
    —New York Times
Elmore Leonard’s Glitz is a killer…in the best possible way. “The King Daddy of crime writers” (Seattle Times) electrifies with this unputdownable noir tale of a mama’s boy psycho killer with a vendetta against a Miami cop. A cat-and-mouse tale with claws, Glitz is thrilling, frightening, explosive, surprising, everything a great thriller is supposed to be—superior crime fiction the genre’s late greats, John D. MacDonald, Dashiell Hammett, James M. Cain, et al, would have been proud to call their own. Elmore Leonard, the creator of magnificent mayhem and truly unforgettable characters—like U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens of the hit TV series Justified—is at his nail-biting, page-turning best with Glitz which Stephen King in the New York Times Book Review calls, “Smashing and satisfying.”

Why his boss at Torus Intercession chose him to figure out who may, or may not, be trying to kill Benjamin Grace, is beyond Shaw James. Protecting a paranormal investigator from whoever—or whatever—may be trying to kill him is completely out of Shaw's wheelhouse, and how is he supposed to help find an attacker when the guy he's sent to protect maintains that the threat is ghostly in origin? It's insane, and Shaw does not do insane. Benjamin Grace is going to be a problem.

But Benji is nothing at all like Shaw imagined he'd be, and the fixer is spellbound from their first meeting. Benji is kind and can laugh at himself, doesn't take things too seriously, and, more than anything, he wants to help everyone. The man is inarguably Shaw's polar opposite, and he brings out every protective instinct in Shaw.

Together, Benji and Shaw must work to figure out what's happening in the small town of Rune, Oregon, and it quickly proves more difficult than it should be to keep Benji alive. When it goes from difficult to seemingly impossible, Shaw packs Benji up and takes him back home to Chicago, where the most frightening thing is Shaw's own big, loud, loving, and overly-invested-in-his-love-life family who can't seem to resist meddling in his affairs. Or not. Turns out the scariest thing might just be Benji, the guy who seems perfect for Shaw.
