Sinopsis

Council house life in the tough end of South East London is no joke.
Life in those days revolved around the betting shop, the working mans club, fights, mundane working life, boredom, alcohol and who ever you can take home and hopefully alleviate what can best be described as a crippling waste. Failing the 11+ in 1959 meant you were consigned to the scrap heap of life. The fact that I could put 2 and 2 together and signed my name meant that the delightful Sedgehill Secondary Modern had fulfilled it`s obligation regarding supplying me with an education, at fifteen years of age I was on the streets but something inside knew this life was not for me. Salvation came in a Chinese Take away when I was standing there somewhat inebriated a former apprentice colleague came in looking as fit as a butchers dog "God you look a mess" was his`s opening line. He invited me to a Council run sub aqua club which he has a heavy involvement with, I never looked back. It was made clear to me from the off that sub-aqua can be a dangerous sport when it goes wrong and if you are not prepared to take responsibility for yourself and your diving partner there`s the door. I took the responsibility onboard and partnered some very nice people and was given advice and direction. Denis O`Callaghan, Alan Bennett and the late Tom Shanly, I will always be eternally grateful.
To those that feel as I was LOST, believe me it`s out there, you just have to go and find it.

A young man inherits a remote, snowbound cabin from a grandfather he never knew, a final chance to escape his own failures and debts. The isolation is absolute, the silence profound, until he discovers the previous caretaker vanished without a trace, leaving behind a journal filled with paranoid entries about being watched. As a series of impossible events unfolds—food moved, doors unlocked, a face at the window with no tracks in the fresh snow—he realizes the journal’s warnings were real, and the watcher is still there, inside the walls.
His desperate search for answers uncovers a hidden network of tunnels and a decades-old secret his grandfather buried. The local sheriff, a man named Kyle Foster, is dismissive, and the only person who seems to want to help, a mysterious woman named Eva Collins from a neighboring property, has a connection to the cabin’s dark history he cannot yet grasp. Every attempt to leave is thwarted by the worsening storm and a growing sense that the cabin itself is a trap, designed to keep its secrets in and intruders out.
To survive, he must unravel the truth of what happened to the missing caretaker and confront the chilling reality of who—or what—has been living in the shadows all along. The final revelation will force him to question his own sanity and make a choice that could either free him or bind him to the cabin forever.

Perfect for fans of Sarah Morgan, Eliza J. Scott and Lucy Score!
Coco is having a hell of a month. She’s lost her boyfriend and her business, been forced to uproot her daughter to move back in with her parents in Paris, and now an infuriatingly handsome stranger is yelling at her for acting like a tourist… Right underneath the Eiffel Tower.
Storming away from him – and swearing off men for life – she decides she’s going to take the first job that comes her way.
Then, as if fate hears her, later that day she stumbles into a little bookshop – but not any old bookshop. This one comes complete with a café, cocktail bar, reading room and secret tunnel of books, and just a little hint of magic in the air.
