  My manuscript, Desert Walker, is a journey from my childhood through to my adult years. It is a true story of my many and varied exploits into the Australian Outback, interspersed with chapters of my personal life. I have walked remote deserts, boated and canoed mighty flooded rivers, conquered the outback in 4x4 wheel drive vehicles and a solar powered car, retraced the journeys of early explorerers and ridden camels across some of the harshest terrain in the world. 
  The Press at various times have labelled me a contemporary Australian explorer, one of the quintessential characters of Australia's inland, an Australian adventurer and an outback legend. 
  Some of my ventures were attempts to break records, others were undertaken to address personal problems, all were to reach higher goals and fulfill long held dreams, while two of my journeys raised considerable money for worthwhile causes. 
  I have always had a great interest in and empathy with the early explorers. Having personally retraced the footsteps of many of these courageous men, their ventures have been woven into some of my own adventure stories. Although generally brief, it is hoped that readers will be encouraged to delve more deeply into their lives and our past history as a whole, both Aboriginal and European. 
  In 1989 I was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) and The Australian Geographic magazine awarded me their Adventurer of the Year Gold Medallion. 
  Over the years via the Press, TV and radio, I have tried to encourage the young to get out and experience our great outback and our heritage, to challenge life in general and to be participants of life and adventure, not just spectators. For the not so young and the middle aged, I have endeavoured by example to show that age is not a barrier, it is merely an excuse and that dreams and aspirations can become a reality if one is prepared to give it a go.

  Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins was born on 9th February 1863 in Clapton, London.  
  He was educated at St John's School, Leatherhead, Marlborough College and Balliol College, Oxford.  Hope trained as a lawyer and barrister and was called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1887. Despite what was thought to be a promising legal career he had literary ambitions and wrote in his spare time. 
  His early works appeared in various periodicals of the day but for his first book ‘A Man of Mark’ (1890), with no publisher interested, he published with his own resources.  
  More novels and short stories followed, including the mildly successful ‘Mr Witt's Widow’ in 1892. Hope even found time to run as the Liberal candidate for Wycombe in the election that same year but was unsuccessful. 
  His first major literary success came with ‘The Dolly Dialogues’, a collection of previously published magazine pieces followed very quickly by his instant classic, ‘The Prisoner of Zenda’. He now gave up the vestiges of his legal career to pursue writing full-time. 
  Despite never again reaching the same pinnacle of success he was popular and wrote prolifically across novels, plays and of course, short stories though his writing output rapidly diminished after the war. 
  In 1918 he was knighted for his contribution to propaganda efforts during World War I.  
  His short stories are delicate, mannered and often surprising with their wit, humour and interplay of characters who say one thing and usually mean another.  He was very definitely a writer of escapist rather than serious fare but they are no less enjoyable for that. 
  Anthony Hope died of throat cancer on 8th July 1933 at his country home, Heath Farm at Walton-on-the-Hill in Surrey. He was 70.

Yet this system, which generates social exclusion and stigmatization, dominates. Admitted at the age of 16, Christelle Rosar was hospitalized for twenty years. This work aimed to restore the classical doctrine of creation and to address intricate philosophical and theological questions related to the creation of the world and faith. The present edition is the first translation of the Latin edition that was published in 1635, nearly 400 years ago. The thirty problems explore various questions, including the existence of a beginning of the world, the nature of the raw material, the origin of Moses' knowledge of creation, the universality of this knowledge, the duration of the world's creation, the existence of other worlds before ours, the direct emanation from God, the number of elements necessary for creation, the creation of souls and bodies, the creation of Paradise and Hell, the existence of Purgatory, the creation of demons and angels, the roundness of the sky, the final cause of the world's creation, and the alterability of the world if it is eternal.
