Sinopse

Write clean, confident React tests that eliminate bugs before they reach users.Key Features● End-to-end React testing with Jest and React Testing Library.● Hands-on coverage of hooks, async flows, Redux, routing, and CI. ● Modern testing strategies using Jest, RTL, MSW, and real scenarios.Book DescriptionUltimate React Testing with Jest uses Jest as the foundation to introduce practical, production-ready frontend testing that fits the pace of real engineering teams. The book begins by understanding why testing matters and how to approach it the right way, then moves into testing React applications incrementally. Early chapters focus on testing components and user interactions, helping you think in terms of behavior, rather than implementation. As you progress, you will learn how to test hooks, handle asynchronous flows, and manage complex UI states with confidence. It then dives deeper into real-world application concerns, covering state management with Redux and Context, routing, authentication flows, and side effects. In the final chapters, you will bring everything together by measuring test coverage, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and designing test suites that remain stable as applications evolve. Hence, whether you are maintaining legacy code or building new React products from scratch, this book equips you to write tests you can trust—and ship React applications with confidence, speed, and clarity. What you will learn● Design reliable React tests using Jest that remain stable as applications scale.● Test hooks, async logic, and complex UI flows with confidence.● Use React Testing Library to test UI behavior from the user perspective.● Apply Jest best practices for mocking, coverage, and test performance.● Validate Redux, Context, and side effects using real-world patterns.● Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for safer releases.● Build future-proof test suites using RTL and Mock Service Worker.Table of Contents1. Product management has become a critical function for modern organizations, from small startups to corporate enterprises. And yet, the day-to-day work of product management remains largely misunderstood. In theory, product managers are high-flying visionaries who build products that people love. In practice, they're hard-working facilitators who bring clarity and focus to their teams.

In this thoroughly revised and expanded edition, Matt LeMay provides real-world guidance for current and aspiring product managers. Updated for the era of remote and hybrid work, this book provides actionable answers to product management's most persistent and confounding questions, starting with: What exactly am I supposed to do all day?

With this book, you'll learn what the day-to-day work of product management entails—and how to excel at it; why no job title or description will resolve the ambiguity of your role; how to bridge the false dichotomy between "strategy" and "execution"; why the temptation to focus on decks and documentation can be bad for your team (and for you); and how to prioritize your time and pick your battles.

Several years ago I became interested in the ideas of real time travel and dimensional travel. I’ve been trained in science and modern physics as well as engineering so I knew that modern theories of our physical world did not include the possibilities that time or dimensional travel existed.
As I did my research on stories of people who had travelled through time or additional dimensions there were many very credible stories. These stories eventually led me to conclude that time or dimensional travel through portals or veils does exist and some persons have experienced it.
On a book I wrote about the Tuatha Da Dannon who were the forerunners of elves, the Druids, and more there were stories that they originated in a different dimension called the Otherworld. And there were some interesting stories of humans who had traveled to the Otherworld and back.
It also turns out that the more one studies these subjects the more historical stories there are of portal, dimensional, and time travel experiences people have had.
This book then is a detailed review and exploration of portals around the world. Some of which are very plausible and others just might exist. Also could these portals be used today?
There are also lots of stories of individuals travelling through time and dimensional portals.
There are lots of interesting questions on this subject and we are just starting to learn the answers.

Tracks: A Journey Through Metroland tells the story of Metroland and the development of suburbia that grew alongside the Metropolitan Railway. Originally the brainchild of eminent Victorians, the Metropolitan grew to become the queen of underground lines, eventually expanding to a point some fifty miles outside London. Author Kevin J. Last describes how the concept of Metroland was an aspiration for several levels of society, promising a better lifestyle well away from the deprivations of wartime. The idea that the working man could live comfortably outside the smoke in individually designed houses would mean that he could also thrive at work, largely due to the regular service offered by the new railway. This was quite exceptional in that, while nominally an underground line, most of the Met's route was above ground and, in length, went far beyond other similar lines, far out into the Buckinghamshire countryside. Not marked on any map, Metroland is as much a concept of the mind as a real place.
