Sinopsis

Aurora is a young girl. Her family live in a village and have a black dog. One day when out with the black dog Aurora was dreaming of adventures she would love to have when she saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky reflected in a puddle in the lane where she lived. She could not resist jumping into the middle of the coloured waters and they were soon being transported high above the clouds. On the rainbow was her favourite unicorn which started to talk to her. Aurora and the black dog could not believe what was happening and she felt worried as to where she was going but the unicorn was reassuring.
The first four chapters of the book take Aurora and her black dog on more rainbow adventures to see amazing places in the world, animals on the land and in the sea and she comes back with important messages to make a note of.
The following eight chapters Aurora starts to look for rainbows and they appear in places she would never expect. The Adventures help her put into practice all she has learnt and found special from the first four chapters. The book is about love, kindness and morals and respecting the world we live in. It has a Christmas message which will bring a tear to the eye.
The book is part written in a secret picture language. At first just a few words and then sentences. Chapter twelve will need to be transcribed to know how the story ends. The picture language is to help children with their spelling and to help keep their attention and excitement of where they may go next. I hope it will help children look at reading in a different way and explore new ways to write stories.
There is mystery and adventure throughout and Aurora never knows when she will go on these rainbow adventures, they are so exciting that she dreams about them at night and cannot wait to tell her friends all about them.
The book is written for young children but its morals and messages are for adults too with an aim that the world will be a better place to live in if all who read make a note of them. Read between the lines and it will make you smile too.

Here for your enjoyment are 12 imaginative stories written by A.A. Milne about beautiful 12 illustrations originally published in the Colliers magazine. (I strongly urge listeners to find this book on line and look at each illustration while listening. The story he weaves is intimately involved with what is going on there. I promise you will be delighted.) He wove these into flights of fancy and fun about the children shown; their background, problems and desires. I liked these stories and just wanted to have the joy of reading them myself. So this will be my solo attempt to bring these stories to life for children and adults.

Once, in a place called Gaza, Jewish families lived among gardens, vineyards, and the peaceful sound of the sea. It was a land filled with beauty and hope. The Jewish people who lived there loved their homes, their schools, and their neighborhoods.
In a spirit of peace, the Jews gave this land to their Palestinian neighbors, hoping it would be the beginning of friendship. But sadly, instead of peace, the leaders called Hamas destroyed the gardens and vineyards. They built only concrete walls and hidden tunnels meant to bring harm, not kindness.
Since then, the people of Israel have not found the peace they offered. On October 7, 2023, a terrible attack brought much sorrow and fear. Since that day, the Jewish people have faced more pain and danger, even though their deepest wish is to live safely and peacefully in their homeland.
This book was written so children and families around the world will know the story: that the Jewish people long for peace, but their neighbors chose hatred instead of friendship. The author hopes that by remembering the past and telling the truth with gentle hearts, we can all dream of a future where peace and kindness will finally grow again-like gardens by the sea. This book reflects a true story that happened in Gaza when the Jews were forced off of their land as part of a peace deal with the Palestinians. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

This is the second to last book in the OZ series that Baum actually wrote himself before he passed away. "A Faithful Record of the Remarkable Adventures of Dorothy and Trot and the Wizard of Oz, together with the Cowardly Lion, the Hungry Tiger and Cap'n Bill, in their successful search for a Magical and Beautiful Birthday Present for Princess Ozma of Oz." - Summary by Baum. Almost all the marvelous creatures of OZ are involved in this far reaching adventure story with tons of danger, evil magic, dastardly plots and heroic last minute acts of bravery to finally save the day. The Lonesome Duck makes her first and last appearance in this book which, by itself, makes it a 'must listen to' in my opinion.

First in the New York Times–bestselling series! “A world in which humans and fairy-tale creatures live side-by-side . . . Madcap adventure.” —School Library Journal   Orphaned sisters Sabrina and Daphne are sent to live with their newly discovered grandmother, Relda Grimm, in the strange town of Ferryport Landing. The girls soon learn a family secret: that they are descendants of the famous Brothers Grimm, whose book of fairy tales is actually a history book and whose characters are still alive in Ferryport, New York.   When a terrorizing giant goes on a rampage through the town, it’s up to the Sisters Grimm to stop him and to solve the mystery of who set the giant loose in the first place. Was it corrupt Mayor Charming, formerly Prince Charming, who desperately wants his kingdom back? The Three Not-So-Little Pigs, the shifty town cops? Or Snow White or Jack the Giant Killer or one of the many other fairy-tale characters who seem to have it out for the young sisters Grimms?   Fast paced, with familiar characters in new surroundings and adventure, and cleverly inserted vocabulary lessons, this book, and this series, are special for young readers.   This anniversary edition of the beloved Sisters Grimm series is the perfect opportunity for existing fans to revisit the adventures of the Grimm family and for new readers to discover the magic of the series for the first time.  “Kids will love Sabrina and Daphne’s adventures as much as I did.” —Sarah Michelle Gellar, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer  “Adventure, laughs, and surprises kept me eagerly turning the pages.” —R.
