Sinopsis

Munter lives for his dreams, but lately his dreams have been provoking him.
Living out his days in the city of Dublin, forgotten and anonymous, he is haunted by an alcoholic past, the pigeon-faced girls of his life, and the ghost of a Japanese rock star.
While investigating this ghost, Munter meets and befriends Nobuko, a bereaved woman with a fierce drinking problem of her own. Their adventures bring them to late cafes and pub quizzes, as they roam the streets with the pale and the pole-axed, with God, Chinese philosophy . . . and a moose – whatever that is.
Could Nobuko be Munter's ticket out of exile?
But when his new ally disappears one night under mysterious circumstances, Munter must face up to all the demons he left behind.
What's the Moose, Munter? is a ghostly bittersweet tale of lonely souls... and their slime-green cans?

Ancient heroes from Irish mythology and folklore come to life in the modern world in this dark, atmospheric story. At once a thrilling chase novel and a wry reimagining of Ireland's oldest epic.

Everybody is after the girl in the bog.

One morning in a field in Connemara, a farmer unearths the body of a young woman, two thousand years old, preserved under layers of peat. Later that evening, she awakens in unfamiliar modern Ireland, ripping a hole through space and time and setting awhirl old animosities and long-held grudges.

Shadowy figures follow her from the pagan past, and each emerges with a claim on the girl from the bog. With help from a trio of wannabe teenage witches, she goes on the run. Joining in the chase is an American archaeologist who wants to keep the discovery for herself and two befuddled farmers trapped in the plot. Hosts of fairies out for the night work their magic and mischief, and in the blue hour before sunrise, the saga unfolds in a battle for the ages.

Part fantasy, part mystery, part thriller, part send-up, this comic and poignant love song to Irish literature and the gift of gab does not merely bend genres; it braids them into Celtic knots.

“They said I could choose my reward. I choose you.”
It was a simple job: go to a wedding. Execute the groom.
Then I saw the bride, wearing a mountain of white satin, her lacy veil now spattered with blood. Instead of running away screaming like the rest of the wedding party, she raised her chin and stared at me, a challenge in her dark eyes. I felt a flicker of feeling in my cold dark heart...
Then she shot me. And I knew...
I had to make her mine.

Deep within us is the dread of dying of moving on from life to another state of being. We assume it comes about through accident, perhaps even murder or disease that can be sudden or can take years to pull us into oblivion. But perhaps trumping all of these is the fear of being buried alive. The sheer terror of being totally trapped, unable to summon help and escape, fills one and all with a deeply unique terror.

In this volume such icons as Edgar Allan Poe, Ambrose Bierce and Honoré de Balzac take us on a journey that will do our helpless fear of this no good at all.

A brutal murder. A seaside village drenched in fog. A vile history . . .

Aaron Andrews, a newly-minted doctor, returns to the village of Aetherton to take up his late father's practice. Hopes of easing into his new role and restoring the local clinic are dashed, however, when the disfigured body of a child is discovered in an empty flowerbed. Working closely with Evander Cochrane, the village's sole law enforcement officer, Andrews is forced to admit that the girl's death is anything but natural.

The deeper Andrews and Cochrane dive into the grisly crime, the more they learn about the village's sordid history. Though pleasant and easygoing on the surface, Aetherton's past holds many things—some of them remarkably dark. The village is soon visited by a powerful storm, leaving it without power or access to the outside world.

When the seaside village becomes entombed with fog, something begins to walk its footpaths and haunt its shores—something that should not exist . . .

When she finally picked up the phone Brielle went on heat waves sharing her latest experience with her. Sasha felt a little relieved to know she wasn’t the only one becoming paranoid.
“So anyway, the group has decided the activity should be night hiking. Talk about adventurers.”
“That sounds kinda crazy……. but ok. I need to get out of this house.” Sasha spoke up. After finalizing the details the two hung up. She closed her eyes. Her house sounded different to her. She could hear animals scurrying outside, the wind blowing faintly off the treetops and murmuring. It was as if her whole neighborhood was now in range of her ears. Opening her eyes abruptly, she decided she would do something besides eavesdrop on the neighborhood. She picked up her notepad and flipped to the back. She found a pencil and began drawing-nothing in particular. When she had finished she looked at it in marvel and confusion. It looked like some sort of cave system. Shrugging, she picked up her notepad and began scribbling.
