Drop in on this whimsical non-linear prose between the signs of the Zodiac. Moderated by Professor Emeritus. There is beach boy Aquarius, soulful Pisces, grumpy Taurus, Virgo the peacemaker - you get the idea. Gregory Sulface prose here on display is cubist surrealism. A one of a kind!Imagine when the zodiac signs have all gathered together, maybe sharing some drinks and having a long chat—in poetry. Will they talk about who is more fun? Will they point fingers at who is being dramatic? Or would they talk about the people who represent them and if these people were representing their signs very well? Will these signs be friends? Will Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius throw fire at other signs? Will Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces douse everyone else with water? Will the earth (Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo) and air (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) signs meet? There would surely be intriguing topics and heightened emotions involved in this party. Satavahana Empire - Buddhism...

The Satavahana Empire, one of the earliest and most influential dynasties in ancient India, emerged in the Deccan region after the decline of the Mauryan Empire. The origins of the Satavahanas remain a subject of historical debate, but they are believed to have belonged to the Andhra region, gaining prominence as local chieftains before consolidating their rule into a powerful dynasty. Their rise marked a significant transition in Indian history, bridging the gap between the Mauryan administration and later regional powers.
The early history of the Satavahanas is primarily reconstructed through inscriptions, numismatic evidence, and references in ancient texts. The Puranas mention them as the Andhra dynasty, while inscriptions such as the Naneghat and Nasik inscriptions provide valuable insights into their rulers and governance. The first known ruler of the dynasty, Simuka, is credited with establishing Satavahana rule by overthrowing remnants of Mauryan authority in the Deccan and expanding his control over parts of present-day Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. His successors continued to strengthen the empire, laying the foundation for centuries of Satavahana dominance.
Following Simuka, his brother and successor Krishna further expanded the territory, but it was under the reign of Satakarni I that the empire gained considerable power. Satakarni I led successful military campaigns, extending his influence northward to the Narmada region and challenging the Shunga and Kshatrapa rulers. His achievements were commemorated in inscriptions and coins, some of which depict him performing Vedic sacrifices such as the Ashvamedha, indicating his aspirations for imperial legitimacy. This period also saw the Satavahanas emerging as key players in trade, administration, and culture, integrating diverse communities into their governance system.

    Funny Voices in Small Padded...

There are "how to" books on voiceover or voice acting and then, there is this singular book on the truth of the voiceover business.
Superbly narrated with extensive sound design, Todd brings over three decades of knowledge and experience in voiceover to the table. Weaving stories of the voiceover industry and its history, Todd reveals the raw truth of the business in what can only be described as an aural sculpture.
In comparison to most eBook/audiobook offerings, this book is like no other; setting precedent for sonic entertainment within the audiobook/e-book realm.
With the release of this book, Todd Schick throws down the gauntlet using the power of his voice and pen. Blending sound, comedy, drama and personal experiences, it boldly reveals the genuine, honest truth everyone should hear about the modern-day voiceover industry.
From the inventor of the modern-day voice talent business model, Todd Schick brings a cast of voices from many sources and colleagues (including his dog and parrot) to this rare, entertaining and incredibly informative publication on voiceover and voice acting; the first in an on-going series.
    From the Author's Introduction:
"There is no such thing as the "bible" of voiceover or voice acting; to make that claim is to sell someone a dream.
Indeed, books on voiceover or voice acting are rarely narrated by the author, much less feature sound design.
Voiceover is an aural product; spoken words born from imagination, to communicate imagination. I could not in good conscience publish a book on voiceover without recording it; doing anything less would speak to the integrity of the content and author.
In my humble opinion, it's pointless to publish any book on voiceover and/or voice acting if the customer can't hear the product. That said, if you choose to purchase the e-book version of this publication, be sure to listen to it; you'll really be missing out by simply reading text.

Why do you sing at church? It’s a question we almost never ask out loud. Yet, this is a question that is central to the lives of Christians who regularly gather together for worship.Do you sing to God? Or do you “address one another in hymns and spiritual songs,” as the Scripture says? Do you close your eyes? What is your posture in worship? This book is designed with these questions in mind.Or maybe you don’t sing at church—or if you do, not with very much enthusiasm, hoping to hide behind a wall of sound. After all, not everyone sings at the same skill level, same rhythm, or pitch.Authors, lyricists, and worship leaders, Keith and Kristyn Getty write to church members to remind them why the Church should sing, when the Church should sing, and how the Church should sing. A congregation that gains a greater understanding of why they sing won’t dread a worship service, with arms crossed and shoulders slumped, but see singing as an opportunity to proclaim the gospel together in obedience to God. Sing! guides individual church members together with their congregation on a campaign to declare with one voice, This is why we sing!
