Summary

An Erotic Post-Apocalyptic Short Story. Global warming and plague had wiped out most the Earth's population.  Barry had been surviving on the outskirts of Boulder, Colorado but it had become too dangerous.  It was time to move into the wilderness and live off the land.
There were so few women left that Barry had never expected to have one of his own, much less a whole group of women, until he was captured by the Clan of the Cave Mother.

Justine, or The Misfortunes of Virtue, is an early work by the Marquis de Sade. It is a novella, written in two weeks while he was imprisoned in the Bastille. Unlike some of his other works, it is not just a catalogue of sadism. It is meant to bring new life to an old genre, which had the reader accustomed to see virtue eventually triumph after trials only meant to bring out its value. Sade would have none of that in Justine: in her quest for virtue, the main character keeps falling into terrible situations, which humiliate her and present her with sexual lessons hidden under the mask of virtue. She seeks refuge and confession in a monastery, only to discover the monks are perverts and to be forced to become their sex-slave; she tries to help a gentleman getting robbed in a field, but he eventually imprisons her in his dungeon, subjugating her to various sexual punishments... All of this is narrated by Justine herself, on her way to the gallocks. Napoleon Bonaparte ordered the arrest of the anonymous author of Justine and Juliette, and as a result Sade was incarcerated for the last 13 years of his life. The book's destruction was ordered by the Cour Royale de Paris on May 19, 1815.

Xaviera Hollander’s life as a call girl and Madam in the US was captured here in her frank 1971 landmark book. Whether this open account is a valid contribution to positive writing about sex at a time when this was a rare phenomena or an unnecessarily racy telling to titillate, it cannot be denied that it makes compulsive listening especially with the author’s own voicing.

I work for the Parks and Recreation Department, which means that I do a lot of mowing of the grass and picking weeds out of flower beds. It’s hot, sweaty work come summertime, but I work up a really good tan and my muscles stay in sleek shape. I don't want to brag or anything, but the chicks think I'm pretty hot property, and judging by the traffic in and out of my tent, I'd say they're pretty well right.
This summer I'm stationed at a large park up north, and I'm roughing it, sleeping in a tent, cooking on a fire, and bathing in the lake. Yesterday I went on garbage detail, roaming the park picking up crap that campers lazily leave behind.

She’s a little bit country, and he’s...not. Rough Riders, Book 14. Arizona businessman and long-lost McKay love child Gavin Daniels has been awarded sole custody of his teenage daughter Sierra for one year. In order to steer Sierra back on track after a brush with the law, he pulls up stakes and heads to Wyoming, looking for support from his ranching family...even if he isn’t sure where they fit in the McKay dynamic. He’s prepared for every contingency with the move: the less-than-enthusiastic response from his daughter, learning to run his corporation remotely, but he’s thrown for a loop when his new housemate - Rielle - is a whole lot sexier, funnier, and sassier than he remembered. Rielle Wetzler has finally overcome the stigma of having hippie parents and being a young single mother. In the two years since she sold her ailing B&B to Gavin Daniels, she’s become financially stable running the homespun businesses she loves. But now Gavin is in Sundance to claim the house that’s rightfully his. Although Rielle knew this day would come, she isn’t prepared to leave the home she built for herself and her now-grown daughter. And to further complicate matters, her long-dormant libido is definitely not ready to live with this newly buff Gavin—who isn’t a cowboy, but has the take-charge attitude to prove he’s all McKay. Sharing a roof, their troubles and their triumphs is too much temptation, and before long, Gavin and Rielle are sharing a bed. But sharing their hearts and lives forever? That’s a whole ’nother ball of wax. Warning: Contains a feisty, independent heroine who doesn’t need a man to take care of her needs outside the bedroom and a sweet, sexy and bossy hero who’s up to the challenge of proving her wrong.©2012 Lorelei James (P)2015 Insatiable Press
