Sinopsis

FAT cat? No way! PHAT cat! This 35 lb. cat will only accept that . . . but with a side of tuna fish please.

Murphy, the phat cat, is unique because of his thirty-five-pound body size and his warm and sensitive nature. There are two things that this cat can’t refuse: lending a helping paw to his fellow-furry neighbors and his cravings for tuna fish.

The gossip queen of cats, Maisie Mums, comes to Murphy to fill him in with the problem on how the neighborhood cats have fallen victim to annoying pestering from a gang of bullying burrowing owls. The gang is led by an old, wise owl named, Don Owl Leon, and they have just recently moved to his neighborhood of Majestic Groves, causing chaos.

With the advice from his chameleon adviser, Gaidan, the protection from his bodyguard bulldog, Ruthless Riley, and the assistance of his friends, the two Siberian husky sisters, he decides to try and come up with a solution. However, the plan changes when the owls kidnap, Peanut, his sister-cat. Murphy must come up with a new answer, and his true feline character is put to the test.

After coming to the realization that the owls are acting malicious due to their subconscious fear of loss of habitat, Murphy and some friends decide to help the owls by putting together a project to preserve the owls' existence. They can’t do it alone; the implementation of the project depends on Murphy’s human owner, Teresa. They mysteriously give her the plan for a project that can change the fate of the owls, and little does she know that the animals there had something to do with its creation.

Will the animals realize they're more alike than they are different? Why can't all types of species live in harmony among one another? Isn't there's enough room for all of them, even if it is together in small suburbia in Florida.

I Bring Fresh Flowers by Robert F. Young - A touching tale of an Astronette—and why the gentle rain from Heaven has the quality of mercy.
You know Rosemary Brooks. You have known her for many years.
It is said that when she was a little girl her favorite poem was Barbara Frietchie, and it is told how she would sometimes poke her pretty head out of her bedroom window, survey the suburban street with her blue-sky eyes, and cry, "Shoot, if you must, this old gray head, but spare your country's flag!"
Yes, you know Rosemary. You know her very well.
Like all little girls, Rosemary grew up. But Rosemary did not change. This is not to say that she did not turn into an attractive young lady. She turned into a most attractive one indeed. Fragilely beautiful, airy of tread, she should have been the reigning rose of every dance she went to, but she was not. Rarely did the young men of her acquaintance ask her to dance, and never did one of them approach her and say, "Come into the garden, Rosemary, for the black bat, night, has flown." She did not go to very many dances in any event, and looking back, one realizes that the few she did attend, she attended primarily to please her mother. The reason behind Rosemary's wallflowerhood is simple: the young men of her acquaintance knew that with her, God and the United States of America came first, and that accompanying her through life, or even accompanying her home from a dance for that matter, meant being relegated to a back seat. It is alright for little girls to be Barbara Frietchies, you see, but not for big ones.
