Summary

日本語能力試験（JLPT）は、日本語を母国語としない人を対象に日本語能力を検定する試験です。 
全世界的に認められている国際的な資格試験の一つです。 
1984年に初めて実施された時点では、15カ国で7千人程度の受験者でしたが、それ以来、受験者がますます増加し、 
2013年には65カ国、約60万人の受験者があったと言われています。 
日本語を母国語としない人が日本の国立大学に留学を申請するためには、概ねJLPT1級が要求されます。
JLPTはN1級からN5級まで受験することができ試験は1年に二回、7月上旬と12月上旬に実施されます。 
日本を含む世界の多くの国で受けることができます。日本国外では、主に大韓民国と中華人民共和国、台湾の受験者が多いです。 
日本語能力試験のポイントはなんと言っても単語と漢字です。 
本書では中級レベルにあたるN4対策用571単語と165漢字を掲載しています (English Edition)。
