Sinopsis

The Collected Kabbalah Texts serves as an extraordinary amalgamation of esoteric wisdom, drawing from centuries of mystical teachings and spiritual exploration. This anthology offers readers a diverse range of literary styles, from didactic treatises to poetic reflections, all unified by the profound theme of Kabbalistic inquiry. The volume transcends mere academic analysis, inviting readers into the mystical depths and enigmatic symbols of Kabbalah. Whether elucidating the Sephirotic Tree of Life or exploring the cosmic significance of divine names, these texts offer an expansive vista into Metaphysical and Hermeneutical discourses. The diversity within reflects the richness of the mystical tradition, with standout pieces revealing both the microcosmic and macrocosmic dimensions of existence. Edited by notable Kabbalistic scholars such as Nurho de Manhar, Bernhard Pick, and S. L. MacGregor Mathers, the collection brings together pioneering voices from late 19th and early 20th-century esoteric studies. Each contributor has profoundly influenced the landscape of Western occultism, with backgrounds that intersect Rosicrucian, Hermetic, and Theosophical movements. W. W. Westcot's analytical rigor complements the interpretive agility of Abelson, ensuring the anthology captures the multifaceted interpretations of this mystical tradition. The compilation elucidates Kabbalah's role as a universal bridge between disparate spiritual traditions, echoing the syncretic nature of its sources. The Collected Kabbalah Texts is an indispensable volume for those seeking to explore the mystical and philosophical vistas of Kabbalah. This anthology offers a unique opportunity to engage with the breadth and depth of Kabbalistic thought, as presented by a cohort of distinguished scholars. Readers are invited to immerse themselves in a dialogue spanning centuries, drawing from the perennial wisdom that informs both historical and contemporary spiritualities. Whether for personal enlightenment or academic exploration, this anthology serves as both a guide and a mirror, reflecting the intricate tapestry of metaphysical insights that continue to inspire and enlighten seekers of the divine mysteries.

Following his hilarious introduction to Paris in French Like Moi, Midwesterner Scott Dominic Carpenter returns to the scene of the crime with more tales of intrigue.
This time, though, the story starts with sorrow as Carpenter's wife struggles with dementia. Humor may be the best medicine, but even the antics of a vandal in their building can’t cement the tiles of her memory for long. Before he expects it, the author finds himself alone in a capital that is also blighted by the pandemic.
It’s against this backdrop that the city comes roaring back to life. From bizarre encounters on the Metro to comical clashes with authority figures, and even a quixotic battle against a flock of migrant parrots, Paris Lost and Found unveils sides of the great city that are as quirky as they are authentic. With his unique blend of wit, insight, and wistfulness, Carpenter charts a path through his new labyrinth of solitude—only to emerge on the other side, squinting into the bright light of hope and new beginnings.

RYKO – A Wild Life is a full cast audio-drama that brings to life the exciting story of Ted Ryko, an adventurous cyclist and photographer who travelled extensively across Australia’s mysterious, dangerous and ‘tantalising’ Top End in 1914-17. Ryko had conquered the nearly 3000 km (2000 miles) overland cycling record from Adelaide across the desert to the frontier town of Darwin but he soon discovered a divided society that pushed him to new limits.
The story is an intensely human drama based on real events and presents an authentic representation of the historical, political and cultural context of the time challenging views of prejudice and disenfranchisement, dual citizenship, xenophobia and paranoia in a multi-cultural, de-stabilised environment. It provides a voice for the contribution that the disenfranchised Chinese made to Australia, recognition of Australians of German descent who were persecuted during WW1 and the uncovering of a proto-treaty from the brutalised and marginalised Indigenous people.
The production accentuates themes of cultural story-telling through a mix of indigenous, western and eastern music and language, all wrapped in classic Australian humour.
Total run time = 4 hrs 28 mins presented in 15 episodes.
    Produced by Rod McMillan

    Walk to Freedom:...

This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice.
June 30, 1944, fifty members of the United States 460th Bomb Group embarked on an important mission to destroy German oil refineries in Silesia, Hungary, only to come under heavy attack. Above the cloud cover, German twin-engine Me-410 fighters firing 20-millimeter cannons blasted seven B-24s out of the sky. Seventeen U.S. airmen were killed, twenty-four captured, with many burned, wounded, or beaten by Hungarian peasants after parachuting to the ground. This single event marked the beginning of a heart-wrenching episode in the life of one airman: T/Sgt. John L. Lenburg. On his thirty-sixth mission, he was shot down along with the crew of their B-24, “Miss Fortune,” over enemy lines near Lake Balaton, Hungary. Taken prisoner (or “Kriegsgefangenen #6410,” the code name the Germans gave him), he never knew if he would see his homeland again.
WALK TO FREEDOM: Kriegsgefangenen #6410 - Prisoner of War is Lenburg’s powerful, compelling account of his 327 days of imprisonment and long walk to freedom eleven months after his capture. Recalling the inhumane treatment and horrific conditions of his encampment, the missions and memories, and the reunions of the few who survived fifty years later, this revised and expanded, illustrated memoir demonstrates why Lenburg and his crew were “the greatest generation” of their time.
