Sinopse

Reborn as a demon lord in a fantasy world, Yuki’s hard at work building the castle of his dreams. A mighty demon lord needs an equally mighty abode, after all! As he expends colossal amounts of brain power, magic, and effort to bring his perfect castle to life, an intruder stumbles into his super chill, super strong dungeon—one who just so happens to be a crybaby tomboy hero who’s been ordered to defeat him! Hijinks ensue as Yuki deals with her in his own unique way, and after they clear the air, he and Lefi tag along when she heads for Alfiro. Though he’s intent on playing the tourist, Yuki has another reason for his impromptu visit: to find out who’s behind the attacks on his dungeon. A surprise reunion and dastardly political machinations await the antihero demon lord!

The British literary sensation—“the most startling, discomforting, complicated, ungovernable, hilarious and heart-rending of memoirs ” (The Telegraph)—the story of a celebrated writer’s sudden descent into blindness, and of the redemptive journey into the past that her loss of sight sets in motion. Candia McWilliam, whose novels A Case of Knives, A Little Stranger, and Debatable Land made her a reader favorite throughout the United Kingdom and around the world, here breaks her decade-long silence with a searing, intimate memoir that fans of Lorna Sage’s Bad Blood, Mary Karr’s Lit, and Diana Athill’s Somewhere Toward the End will agree “cements her status as one of our most important literary writers beyond question” (Financial Times).

ou're in luck, Alfred," he declared. "That's the most interesting man in New York-one of the most interesting in the world. That's Sanford Quest." "Who's he?""You haven't heard of Sanford Quest?""Never in my life."The young man whose privilege it was to have been born and lived all his days in New York, drank half a glassful of wine and leaned back in his chair. Words, for a few moments, were an impossibility."Sanford Quest," he pronounced at last, "is the greatest master in criminology the world has ever known. He is a magician, a scientist, the Pierpont Morgan of his profession.""Say, do you mean that he is a detective?"The New Yorker steadied himself with an effort. Such ignorance was hard to realise-harder still to deal with."Yes," he said simply, "you could call him that-just in the same way you could call Napoleon a soldier or Lincoln a statesman...

Chances are the warm fuzzies aren't what you will get when you pick up Ignorance, Thy Name Is Bucky. Instead, you'll get LOL moments as Darby Conley pumps hilarity into living the single life with pets. The family portrait: Rob Wilco, the tallest member of the family, is a single, mild-mannered ad executive who pays the bills and often the price, thanks to his curious and anthropomorphic housemates. Rob gives guidance and all sorts of "material" to Bucky, a temperamental cat, who clearly wears the fur pants in the family. Satchel, a good-hearted pooch, plays neutral, but usually ends up on the receiving end of Bucky's mischief."Thanks for Get Fuzzy, the funniest comic strip on planet Earth. Sweet-natured Satchel Pooch and the utterly crazed Bucky B. Katt are much more fun than Odie and Garfield." --Stephen King, Entertainment Weekly * Three Get Fuzzy collections have become New York Times best-sellers: Bucky Katt's Big Book of Fun, Blueprint for Disaster, and Say Cheesy.* Recognized as Best Comic Strip in 2002 by the National Cartoonists Society.
