When the day calls for re-fueling with some tasty plates in between the surf, All-Day Dining includes Fish Tacos with Chipotle-lime Cream and Grilled Halloumi with a zingy Jalapeño, Lime & Tequila Relish. Gather round the grill to cook delicious food to share from Beachside BBQ, such as Grilled Lobster or create Sunset Suppers of Thai-steamed Snapper or Sunshine Laksa. As you drift into the dusk, savour desserts that celebrate crisp, ripe produce such as Lychee Sorbet or Yogurt Panna Cotta. Fresh, luscious and creative, these flavourful recipes are inspired by cuisines from the best beaches and surf spots around the globe including Australia, California, Hawaii, Thailand, Indonesia and beyond. 35 quick and easy recipes for snacks, drinks, dinners and lunches that will send you stratospheric!

They say that your wedding day or the day your children are born are the best ones of your life. And, sure, they were great days… but if I'm going to be really honest, there were three days in the August of '69 that go down in history as the best days of my life. Between the 15th and 18th August, 1969, I lost myself and found myself on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York. Woodstock – the festival that rocked the world and defined my generation – was pure, unadulterated fun, love, harmony… and marijuana.
I'm not going to lie – I was high pretty much the whole time. As I imagine most of the other half million people there were, too. We smoked, we danced, we laughed, we hugged… we lived. Over the years, I slowly transformed from that young, carefree hippie with flowers in her hair to a respectable teacher, to a PTA mum, to an empty nester, to who I am today: a silver-haired senior who has recently rediscovered her penchant for pot. So, in the spirit of sharing, caring and being daring, I have had a blast putting together this book, filled with my favourite cannabis-laced recipes from Hendrix Hash Brownies to a Muddy Milkshake that I hope will get you nicely buzzed. I've been reminiscing as I stir, chop, bake and simmer, reliving my far-out, groovy, wonderful Woodstock days. I even tie-dyed my apron. Peace.

Conquer your fear of flour with a cookbook that “takes the intimidation factor out of baking with easy-to-follow recipes” (Publishers Weekly).   Warren Brown, the founder of CakeLove bakeries, wants you to bake your cake and eat it too—and even better, enjoy the moment in which you present your made-from-scratch masterpiece to bedazzled, hungry-eyed family and friends.   For Brown, love and baking are inseparable. After all, he abandoned his unfulfilling career in law to do the work he finds truly emotionally satisfying. Every page of CakeLove communicates that satisfaction, as well as Brown’s can-do approach to the art of baking. As he points out, baking cakes isn’t a cakewalk, but it’s not rocket science, either—and getting it right isn’t nearly as hard as you think.   With an “entertaining” style (Publisher Weekly), gentle guidance, and clear information on ingredients, equipment, and techniques, CakeLove teaches you how to make pound cakes, butter cakes, sponge cakes, cupcakes, glazes, frostings, fillings, meringues, and more!

Everyone knows the parlor game question asked of every chef and food personality in countless interviews: What is the last meal you'd want to eat before you die? But what does it look like when you pose the question to bartenders? In Last Call, James Beard Award-winning author Brad Thomas Parsons gathers the intriguing responses from a diverse range of bartenders around the country, including Guido Martelli at the Palizzi Social Club in Philadelphia (he chooses an extra-dry Martini), Joseph Stinchcomb at Saint Leo in Oxford, Mississippi (he picks the Last Word, a pre-Prohibition-era cocktail that's now a cult favorite), and Natasha David at Nitecap in New York City (she would be sipping an extra-salty Margarita). The resulting interviews and essays reveal a personal portrait of some of the country's top bartenders and their favorite drinks, while over forty cocktail recipes make this a must-listen for barflies and cocktail enthusiasts of all stripes.

Cider is having a major moment, and The Cider Revival charts its history, resurgence, and a year with the vanguard makers of heritage cider

Cider is the quintessential American beverage. Drank by early settlers and founding fathers, it was ubiquitous and pervasive, but following Prohibition when orchards were destroyed and neglected, cider all but disappeared. In The Cider Revival, Jason Wilson chronicles what is happening now, an extraordinary rebirth that is less than a decade old.

Following the seasons through the autumn harvest, winter fermentation, spring bottling, and summer festival and orchard work, Wilson travels around New York and New England, with forays to the Midwest, the West Coast, and Europe. He meets the new heroes of cider: orchardists who are rediscovering long lost apple varieties, cider makers who have the attention to craftsmanship of natural wine makers, and beverage professionals who see cider as poised to explode in popularity. What emerges is a deeply rewarding story, an exploration of cider’s identity and future, and its cultural and environmental significance. A blend of history and travelogue, The Cider Revival is a toast to a complex drink.
