My main purpose in writing this book was for my own understanding of what faith is and how can I increase my faith in God. I needed to know what faith actually is and what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ. As I looked deeper into this topic I learned a lot about faith, such as there is a difference between faith and belief. I learned where I can go to increase my faith and I have seen some amazing examples of people who had enough faith to accomplish some amazing things in their lives. I realise the importance faith has in my salvation and that I am justified before Almighty God by faith.
I now understand how vital it is to have this faith in our modern, fast paced and ever changing world. When you listen to this audio book I hope you can learn some of these aspects about your own faith and apply what you will read in God’s holy scriptures to grow your own understanding and make some necessary changes to your life.

Thomas à Kempis wrote a series of four books, known as The Imitation of Christ. This is a paraphrase of the second book of that series.
As a paraphrase rather than just a translation, it answers the question, "What would this famous author be saying if he were talking to you now?", whereas a strict translation is an attempt to tell you the exact meaning of the original words.
This book and The Most Important Thing, a paraphrase of the first book of The Imitation of Christ, will give you an insight into the mind of one of the greatest Christian thinkers of all time.

In today's world of shallow pursuits and frivolous vanities, too many Christians are distracted from what really counts: a passionate pursuit of Christ. Because of that, the enemy controls us, keeping us from being everything God wants us to be.

In this never-before-published material, A.W. Tozer dives deep into a favorite topic: growing in Christ. With passion and biblical wisdom, he equips you to ignite a true desire for Christ and implement life-giving disciplines to mature and grow in His grace.

The deeper you mature in Christ, the less this shallow world can ensnare you. And the more you--and the Church--will truly flourish.

Why do you sing at church? It’s a question we almost never ask out loud. Yet, this is a question that is central to the lives of Christians who regularly gather together for worship.Do you sing to God? Or do you “address one another in hymns and spiritual songs,” as the Scripture says? Do you close your eyes? What is your posture in worship? This book is designed with these questions in mind.Or maybe you don’t sing at church—or if you do, not with very much enthusiasm, hoping to hide behind a wall of sound. After all, not everyone sings at the same skill level, same rhythm, or pitch.Authors, lyricists, and worship leaders, Keith and Kristyn Getty write to church members to remind them why the Church should sing, when the Church should sing, and how the Church should sing. A congregation that gains a greater understanding of why they sing won’t dread a worship service, with arms crossed and shoulders slumped, but see singing as an opportunity to proclaim the gospel together in obedience to God. Sing! guides individual church members together with their congregation on a campaign to declare with one voice, This is why we sing!

    (un)Reasonable Faith - The Book...

At the end of the short book of Habakkuk, the prophet said that even if all the crops in Israel were to yield no produce and even if all the livestock in Israel died off, he would rejoice and take joy in God (3:17-18). Even if the earth suffered chaos in apocalyptic proportions, Habakkuk would trust God. God had made him strong, so he would move forward, trusting God despite all he saw (3:19).
That is how the book ends. But it is not how it begins. At the start of his book, Habakkuk was reeling. He questioned God. He was upset at God. And he longed to know what God was doing because, in Habakkuk's mind, God wasn't doing anything.
So what happened that took this man from despair to trust? A conversation with God—a conversation recorded in these three brief chapters. In their dialogue, Habakkuk fixates on a problem as he saw it, God gives a promise to Habakkuk and the world, and Habakkuk then praises God for what he heard before concluding with a strong song of faith. The conversation changes Habakkuk. He progressed from worry to worship and from fear to faith.
In (un)Reasonable Trust, author-pastor Nate Holdridge considers the progression Habakkuk passed through. Seeing his process helps us develop a trust in God that is not based on reasons we can see with our own eyes or logic (unreasonable, or without reasons), but a trust that is based on his nature (reasonable, or with reasons). And this level of trust is what God desires. He said, "The righteous will live by his faith," and Habakkuk shows us a man who got there (Habakkuk 2:4).
