Guided by the mysterious sage Halvia, they learn how each step carries deep meaning and how art can heal both nature and human hearts. Through bamboo groves, crystal streams, and stone archways, their journey reveals that the hidden dance is more than movement—it’s a universal language of peace. Xuanzang mistakenly ran into seven spider demons in Silk Cave while looking for food. The monkey heard that the spider demons would bathe in a pool every day. He then transformed into an eagle to take away their clothes. Pigsy hit them but got stuck, and the demons fled. The monkey, Pigsy, and Sandy finally saved Xuanzang, and then they went to a Taoist temple owned by the Multiple-Eyed Monster, the brother of the spider demons. The demon disguised himself as a Taoist and offered the group poisoned tea. Xuanzang, Pigsy, and Sandy all drank the tea. The monkey got so angry that he killed the spider demons and fought the demon. The demon was hard to defeat because his belly had thousands of eyes emitting golden light. The monkey eventually defeated the demon with the help of Pilanpo Bodhisattva, and the demon turned into the original form, a centipede.

Xuanzang and his disciples were blocked by the mighty Tongtian River, the abode of the monstrous King of Inspiration, who was eating a boy and a girl as a yearly sacrifice. The monkey and Pigsy transformed into Chen family children and defeated the monster. Terrified of the monk's three protectors, the monster used a river-frozen trick to capture Xuanzang. The monkey had to ask Guanyin for help. Guanyin trapped the monster with a bamboo basket and forced him to revert to his true form of a goldfish. Xuanzang was rescued. A big turtle ferried the pilgrims across the river to repay them for helping him retake his residence from the monster.
