Sinossi

Fixated on her estranged sister’s death, a woman heads to the Spanish coast to conduct her own investigation—but will the truth bring her peace? Ever since her sister, Anya, was murdered in Sotogrande, a playground for the rich, Natasha’s life has gone off the rails. After three months of poring over the details of what happened, Natasha travels to the scene of the crime where she hopes to unravel the truth—about her sister’s death and life. With no job, how did Anya end up in a multimillion-Euro apartment in one of the most exclusive areas on the continent? The police have no suspect. Publicly, they claim the killing was likely gang-related. But their key person of interest, a local with links to organised crime, is also now dead. His fingerprints were found in Anya’s luxury apartment—but so too were the fingerprints of several others, all of whom could be suspects. But how were these people linked to Anya? And which of them is responsible for her murder?Praise for the novels of Rob Sinclair “Impossible to put down.” —Publishers Weekly on Sleeper 13 “Dramatic and enjoyable.” —Between the Lines on Dance with the Enemy

Rupert Johnson’s path to an independent mind was always going to be unconventional. It was planned that way. But he wasn’t supposed to go alone. Rupert is destined to learn the hard way.
India. Scotland. Australia. Tunisia. His letter-writing and his fishing are the only constants, beyond independence. Above all else he dreams of the day he can lay claim to a Morton Smuggler, the world's most elusive fly fishing reel. The Morton Smuggler cannot be purchased; it can only be earned.
Against the hard lessons from wartime tragedy, stubborn nostalgia and the many injustices of existence, Rupert creeps towards an understanding of the things in life that can be felt but never seen.
    Towards a Morton Smuggler.

Meet the Watchers: Six unlikely people from different backgrounds united by a common goal—to make the world a better place.

One night, Raul receives a call from an old childhood friend who tells him a wild story about human experimentation in a small town deep in the Appalachian Mountains, not far from where they grew up. Raul dismisses it, but a day later, his friend is found dead in a motel room two hundred miles away.

When Raul arrives in the small town his friend described, it appears postcard perfect, as do the residents. However, as he digs into its history, he discovers that the town square is fake, the police chief harbors secrets, everyone seems related in some way, and something nefarious is occurring in the surrounding woodlands.

Then, seemingly coincidentally, Raul meets five others in town who have also noticed something off. As they join forces, they soon learn that something far more sinister is unfolding. And worse, what they uncover hits closer to home for Raul than he could have imagined. Could it be bigger than any of them are equipped to handle?

The body of Daisy Shaw, the Carnival Queen, is discovered in a back alley, stretched out on the cobbles. Her long blonde hair lies matted and disheveled around her head, her fingers clutch a sparkly plastic tiara.

Suspicion falls on the carnival crew, especially when it turns out that one of them is Daisy's boyfriend.

The atmosphere in Cromer soon grows nasty. The town turns against the outsiders. The roads are closed. The town descends into chaos. And the murder detectives are right in the thick of it, trying to piece together what happened to Daisy.

The close-knit carnival community is all too used to prejudice and none too keen on helping the police.

"The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton" is one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is one of 13 stories in the cycle collected as The Return of Sherlock Holmes and was published in 1904.
Holmes is hired by the débutante Lady Eva Blackwell to retrieve compromising letters from a blackmailer: Milverton, who causes Holmes more revulsion than any of the 50-odd murderers in his career. Milverton is "the king of blackmailers". He demands £7,000 (over £800,000 in 2015) for the letters, which if given to third parties would cause a scandal that would end Lady Eva's marriage engagement. Holmes offers £2,000, all Lady Eva can pay, but Milverton insists on £7,000. It is worth £7,000 to him, he explains, to make an example of Lady Eva; it is in his long-term interest to ensure that his future blackmail victims would be more "open to reason" and pay him what he wants, knowing he will destroy them if they do not. Holmes resolves to recover the letters by whatever means necessary, as Milverton has placed himself outside the bounds of morality.
