Humanity is under assault from pandemics but not for the reasons that the mainstream sources portray. This book examines the claims regarding alleged “contagious” disease outbreaks such as COVID-19 to shed more light on what they are, or perhaps more importantly, what they are not. The belief that germs from the natural environment (or a laboratory) are attacking us has led most of the population to go along with lockdowns, civil rights restrictions, unprecedented peacetime censorship and more vaccines. However, when the foundational science is exposed and it is understood how the cases are created, no “pandemic” looks the same ever again.
In line with our other content we dissect multiple aspects of what has been put forward as scientific evidence for germ theory, alleged “viruses,” diagnostic tests, and “treatments” whether they be drugs or vaccines. It is all too often a world of mythology with carefully constructed narratives designed to benefit the medico-pharmaceutical industry and other vested interests. Unfortunately, it pulls the public into a belief system that is not only counterproductive to health but frequently life shortening and sometimes deadly. We have endeavoured to illustrate this with famous case examples to demonstrate how the media promotes deception with fear-inducing sensationalised headlines that are often bereft of scientific evidence. Just as important is how the illusions are maintained and we share our own experiences of what happens when doctors speak out against the prevailing narrative. The Final Pandemic is a title that announces that the concept of contagious and death-dealing ‘germs’ is finished. Hopefully this helps people realise that there is no need to participate in these man-made “crises” ever again.
"...the evidence the authors have presented here is quite simply, irrefutable, however alarming that conclusion might be." - Prof. Tim Noakes

As the world enters a new year, the Covid-19 pandemic is still upsetting our daily lives. And as 75% of EU citizens live in urban areas, cities are the most prominent stage both for responding to the health crisis, and for seizing opportunities to recover and move forward. Meanwhile, in 2020, EU countries agreed to Next Generation EU, a €750 billion recovery package that represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity.
This report argues that cities should be given more say over how post-pandemic national recovery plans pan out between here and 2026, when all projects are supposed to be wrapping up. Indeed, the success of the EU recovery plans will hinge upon what cities do, or they don't do over the next five years. How are cities rethinking their role within the "twin" green and digital transitions? How can they achieve gender parity, reduce inequalities, and preserve a vibrant cultural life?

Connectivity is a critical element in shaping the development and functionality of modern cities. As urbanization accelerates, the ability to connect people, services, and infrastructure becomes fundamental in ensuring that cities grow in a sustainable, efficient, and equitable manner. Whether through transportation, digital infrastructure, or social systems, connectivity determines the overall effectiveness of urban environments. It not only enables economic growth and innovation but also enhances the quality of life for urban residents, facilitating better access to services, opportunities, and resources. As cities evolve, improving connectivity has become one of the most pressing priorities for urban planners, policymakers, and developers.
Historically, the evolution of urban connectivity was rooted in physical infrastructure. Roads, railways, and ports formed the foundation for the development of cities, enabling the movement of goods, services, and people. These early forms of connectivity allowed urban centers to thrive, driving economic activity and creating spaces for cultural exchange. As cities grew, so did their need for more complex and advanced networks. In the 21st century, digital connectivity has added a new layer of importance to urban development. High-speed internet, mobile technology, and digital communication systems have transformed how cities function, providing real-time access to information and services that were previously unavailable.
The concept of the "smart city" highlights the profound impact of digital connectivity on urban life. By integrating technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and big data, cities can improve everything from traffic management to resource distribution. Smart city solutions enable cities to operate more efficiently and sustainably, optimizing the use of energy, water, and other resources while reducing waste and pollution.

The troubled history of the Hubble constant told in an authoritative, comprehensible, and entertaining manner

In 1927 Georges Lemaître argued that our universe is expanding, a conclusion rendered more startling by the astronomical data that backed it up, presented two years later by Edwin Hubble. The speed of this expansion is governed by Hubble's constant, and Discordance tells its troubled history.

This unpredictable and fascinating story begins with the first tentative steps to measure the distances to nearby stars and galaxies. It traces the extraordinary interplay between cosmological theory and astronomical observation which has given us the standard Big Bang theory. It was not all plain sailing, and the narrative takes us through the discovery of dark matter, the Hubble Wars of the 1970s, the invention of cosmic inflation, and other crucial scientific moments. Further satellite missions were expected to add to the clarity of our measurements. But from about 2009 onward, the results began to diverge. This is the Hubble tension and perhaps even a crisis.

Jim Baggott clearly and entertainingly guides the reader through this gripping scientific voyage--one littered with crises of confidence, astonishing discoveries, and extraordinary personalities--which still continues today.
