Sinopsis

Father often asked Kirk Anthony to do a real job. But Anthony, despite almost idolizing his strong, successful father, just can’t stop having a good time with his father’s money. He goes to fancy dinners, drives the latest cars, and treats his friends to sumptuous meals. Then a man steps in trying to get away from the law. At dinner, he persuades one of Anthony’s drunken friends to „play a terrible joke on him.”

Fresh off her first assignment as a travel writer, former investigative reporter Samantha “Sam" Powers is ready for a new adventure.
When her editor at Carmel Today magazine instead asks her to write a travel piece about the local Monterey County area as part of a special issue around the upcoming Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament, Sam is initially hesitant. Not only is she not particularly fond of the sport of golf, Sam has had plenty of reasons to stay away from her hometown for the past dozen years. Truthfully, if it weren't for her ailing father (Carmel-by-the-Sea’s former police chief), she wouldn't have come back at all.
Ultimately, Sam takes the assignment. As she tours the scenic locales of Carmel Valley, Big Sur, Pacific Grove, and Pebble Beach, Sam ends up unearthing a cold case involving the disappearance of the previous editor of Carmel Today. Dangerously in over her head, Sam knows she will have to call on some friends—including the detective she met on her previous assignment to Maui—to solve the suspicious incident and come out alive. Will the unexpected puzzle help her gain a new appreciation for her hometown or will the Monterey area be the last place Sam ever sees?
“Destination: Monterey” is the second in the Destination Murder Mystery series. Readers can expect exotic locales, a behind-the-scenes look at the travel industry, and the twists and turns expected from a quality mystery.

“What do you get when you cross Jurassic Park with an ancient underground city? The answer is Pandemonium, an exciting read.” —Steve Alten, New York Times–bestselling author of Meg

Deep beneath the Ural Mountains, in an underground city carved out by slave labor during the darkest hours of the Cold War, ancient caverns hold exotic and dangerous life-forms that have evolved in isolation for countless millennia. Cut off from the surface world, an entire ecosystem of bizarre subterranean species has survived undetected—until now.

Biologists Nell and Geoffrey Binswanger barely survived their last encounter with terrifying, invasive creatures that threatened to engulf the planet. They think the danger is over until a ruthless Russian tycoon lures them to his underground metropolis, where they find themselves confronted by a vicious menagerie of biological horrors from their past—and by entirely new breeds of voracious predators. Now they’re rising up from the bowels of the Earth to consume the world as we know it.

“Warren Fahy’s Pandemonium is pure genius, an otherworldly wonder as creative as the best of Jules Verne. Here is riveting scientific speculation paired with bravado storytelling. I want more!” —James Rollins, #1 New York Times–bestselling author

“Warren Fahy’s new novel Pandemonium is probably the best high-tech thriller I’ve read since The Mote in God’s Eye. My heart was pounding (literally) from page one. Can’t wait for his next tale.” —David Hagberg, New York Times–bestselling author

    Ever so wholesome.
    Ever so deadly...
When a local man is found murdered in an English Trust stately home, the community is shaken to its core.
None more so than newcomer Astrid Swift, who finds the body. When she moved from London to the sleepy Dorset village and got a job at the house as an art restorer, she thought she was heading for a quieter life.
Far from it. Because it turns out that rather than being the genteel organisation it seems on the surface, the Trust is a hotbed of politics and intrigue. As Astrid's new friend Kath from the village says: 'It's like the mafia, but with scones.'
As the suspicious deaths mount up and the threat draws closer, Astrid must use every gadget in her restorer's toolkit to solve the mystery, save her reputation – and maybe even her life.
Thrilling, funny and addictive, The Trust is perfect for fans of Richard Osman, Robert Thorogood and Clare Chase.
