"What makes this book special is the richness of the illustrations of how symptoms of illness embody concrete events in a family and how family constellations can bring this to light with a respect that allows symptoms to recede and disappear. As far as I am aware, this has never before been identified and illustrated so clearly. This book is a first class pioneering effort. Alongside new insights, it also details the concrete steps that have led to new and often surprising resolutions."

    Bert Hellinger

When a machine is out of order, we look for the broken part and attempt repairs. When something goes awry with the human mind, body and spirit, we need to look with a more holistic view for solutions. This book presents the experiences of a physician and psychotherapist who has gone far beyond the 'parts repair' approach to medical treatment to look not only at the whole person, but also the entire family system using the method of family constellations.

The book is comprised of two parts. The first is a basic explanation of the approach, which was first developed by Bert Hellinger. In the second part of the book, practical applications of the method are documented in a wide variety of case studies. Illness and symptoms are viewed in the context of larger systems, and constellations are used to identify disturbances and restore a more health-supporting order.

This report on the method of family constellations is a fascinating trip through theory and practice that offers a new concept of healing for lay readers as well as professionals.
    The Authors:
Ilse Kutschera, M. D., born in Vienna, Austria in 1936, studied medicine in Graz. She worked as a physician until 1998, when she retired from her position as head of a rehabilitation clinic to devote her time to her private psychotherapy practice. During her career, she had developed a keen interest in psychotherapy and trained in various approaches including primal therapy, transactional analysis, gestalt therapy, NLP and Bert Hellinger's constellation work. This book is an expression of her interest in integrating psychotherapy and classical medicine.
Christine Brugger, born in Germany in 1962, is head of a radio station in the East Tyrol in Austria. Through her friendship with Dr Kutschera, she became interested in writing about constellation work in the medical field. The book is the result of many interviews, discussions and recorded case histories.

Nuclear physics is the branch of physics that studies the atomic nucleus, its constituents, and the interactions that govern its behavior. The field explores the fundamental forces that operate within the nucleus, particularly the strong nuclear force that binds protons and neutrons together, as well as the weak nuclear force that governs radioactive decay. Understanding the structure and dynamics of the nucleus provides insights into the origin of matter and the processes that drive the universe's evolution, including stellar nucleosynthesis and the formation of elements.
The history of nuclear physics began with the discovery of radioactivity by Henri Becquerel in 1896, followed by the identification of the electron by J.J. Thomson in 1897. The groundbreaking work of Ernest Rutherford in the early 20th century led to the discovery of the atomic nucleus, fundamentally altering the understanding of atomic structure. Rutherford’s gold foil experiment in 1911 demonstrated that atoms consist of a small, dense nucleus surrounded by a cloud of electrons. James Chadwick’s discovery of the neutron in 1932 further clarified the composition of the nucleus and laid the foundation for modern nuclear physics.
Nuclear physics encompasses several key areas of study, including nuclear structure, nuclear reactions, and nuclear decay. Nuclear structure focuses on understanding how protons and neutrons are arranged within the nucleus and how the strong nuclear force governs their interactions. Quantum mechanics plays a central role in modeling the energy levels and configurations of nucleons. Nuclear reactions involve the collision of nuclei, leading to the formation of new elements or the release of energy, as observed in nuclear fission and fusion. Nuclear decay describes the spontaneous transformation of unstable nuclei into more stable configurations, often accompanied by the emission of alpha, beta, or gamma radiation.

‘United Queerdom: From the Legends of the Gay Liberation Front to the Queers of Tomorrow’ Co-produced by Sarah Nicol, co-produced and authored by dan glass - in tribute to Andrew Lumsden, pioneer of Pride.
Throughout the 1970s the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) initiated an anarchic campaign that permanently changed the face of Britain. Inspired by the Stonewall uprisings in the US, the GLF demanded a 'Absolute Freedom For All' worldwide. Yet half a century on, injustice is rife and LGBT+ inequality remains. Complete LGBT+ liberation means housing rights, universal healthcare, economic freedom and so much more. Although many people believe queers are now free and should behave, assimilate and become palatable - Dan Glass shows that the fight is far from over.
United Queerdom evocatively captures over five decades of LGBT+ culture and protest from the GLF to 2020s. Showing how central protest is to queer history and identity this book uncovers the back-breaking hard work as well as the glamorous and raucous stories of those who rebelled against injustice and became founders in the story of queer liberation.
