Sinopsis

Economic disruptions, technological upheavals, and rising costs are no longer occasional challenges—they’re the new normal. Survive and Thrive in Any Economy offers a battle-tested 60-step plan designed to help you not just endure but excel in any economic climate. This is not another generic business book filled with vague advice; it’s a hands-on, actionable guide to creating a resilient business that thrives, even in tough times.
The rules have changed. AI is revolutionizing industries, market saturation is driving down prices, and traditional safety nets like emergency funds are proving inadequate. This book reveals how to adapt, innovate, and turn crises into opportunities. Learn to recognize early warning signs, pivot your services, and align with recession-resistant industries to stay ahead of the competition.
With Survive and Thrive, you’ll discover how to:

Build a strong financial foundation by calculating the right emergency fund for your business.
Spot potential disasters before they strike and implement proven disaster recovery strategies.
Leverage technology to enhance your offerings, not replace them.
Identify and tap into niches that grow during downturns.
Repackage services to meet shifting market demands and add high-value options to boost revenue.

The book is organized into five phases: prepare, detect, act, adapt, and stabilize. You’ll learn to streamline expenses without sacrificing quality, negotiate with vendors, and retain clients when others are losing them. Real-world examples highlight how even significant disruptions—like Google algorithm changes or global health crises—can become opportunities for growth.
More than just survival, this guide equips you to create multiple income streams and build lasting stability. Turn the 60 steps into profitable assets: launch mini-courses, host workshops, or develop premium content. With clear instructions, practical tools, and real-world success stories, Survive and Thrive is your roadmap to navigating any crisis and emerging stronger.
Instead of waiting for the next downturn to hit, take control of your future now. Armed with the strategies in this book, you’ll face every challenge with confidence, transforming obstacles into opportunities and positioning yourself as a leader in your field.

Hone your skills and strengthen your practice with this series of twenty-five fresh and provocative questions for reflection that challenge the conventional wisdom in the coaching profession.

Like any established profession, coaching is full of unexamined assumptions. These need to be regularly questioned and tested to keep the profession vital and valuable. Coaches need to engage in the same kind of scrutiny and self-examination that offers such powerful benefits to their clients.

In Positive Provocation, coaching thought leader Robert Biswas-Diener asks a series of twenty-five provocative and sometimes playful questions that take a fresh look at some of coaching's most cherished beliefs. What if coaches had agendas? Why are ethics so boring? What's so great about interrupting? Can we trust eureka moments? What if we used less empathy?

This is not an attack on the coaching profession-Biswas-Diener writes with a light, conversational, and often humorous touch. These are positive provocations, meant to stimulate your curiosity, engage you with the latest research, and invite you to see your practice with new eyes.

Biswas-Diener covers philosophies of coaching, communicating with clients, common coaching concepts, coaching interventions, and a big final provocation: should coaching be informed by science? This book will give you a richer understanding of the coaching process, make you more articulate about your own beliefs, and allow you to feel more engaged with the craft.

Commenting on a webinar I gave, a lady mentioned that my voice resembled Sean Connery's, the ultimate James Bond. Looking at her Linkedln profile I noticed she was in the editing business. I thanked her for the compliment and asked if she had any tips on how to get a book published. Her reaction was simple and straightforward: "There are already too many books." Nevertheless, I pursued my efforts and wrote yet another book on quality management.
A different book though, touching on various aspects of quality through storytelling and anecdotes. A book that looks beyond generally accepted rules and truths, offering a thought-provoking view on quality, management and even society at large. Readers may agree, disagree, get mad or be amused, but hopefully not indifferent. After all, quality is a feeling.
When turning it into an audio book it was clear that, with a voice resembling that of Sean Connery, I had to narrate it myself. I hope the listener will enjoy it as much as readers have done, all over the world.
This book is also available as e-book (ISBN 978-1-907925-71-9), Paperback (ISBN 978-1-907925-72-6) and Hard Cover (ISBN 978-1-907925-73-3) on Amazon and other book stores.

Marc Wilson is not giving up. He is determined to turn around the struggling family company and keep it, despite his father's decision to sell. The problem is that they are late on more and more projects and their customers won't tolerate it anymore. Marc is looking everywhere for a solution, when in one of his MBA classes he comes across a unique approach that views operations in terms of flow.

The concept of flow is straightforward. It's easy to visualize the stream of projects going through the system and understand that if something clogs the flow, the projects pile up; the lead time gets longer, and as a result the reliability of due dates suffers. What is not so easy is to uncover the specific obstacles that obstruct the flow and figure out how to remove them.

Whether you're a manager in engineering, IT, service, or sales, this book will help you gain much better predictability and significantly improve your delivery.

Whether we're trying to find time, save it, manage it, or make the most of it, one word defines our relationship with the clock: anxiety. Yet is productivity really the only grid for the good life? Have you ever imagined a life without hurry, relentless work, multitasking, or scarcity? A life that is characterized instead by presence, attention, rest, rootedness, fruitfulness, and generosity?

This is the kind of life we are meant for, says Jen Pollock Michel. But if we want to experience freedom from time anxiety, we have to reimagine our relationship with time itself.

With In Good Time, she invites you to disentangle your priorities from our modern assumptions and instead ground them in God's time. Then she shows you how to establish eight life-giving habits that will release you from the false religion of productivity so you can develop a grounded, healthy, life-giving relationship with the clock.
