In the ruins of a collapsed city, fugitive Megan lives on a razor's edge. Gifted with the power to shatter reality with sound, she is a ghost, hunted by the ruthless Solarian Dominion. Her only companion is her darkest secret: Owen Mitchell, the elite Dominion Commander who was once her hunter, now lies wounded and helpless, his life entirely in her hands. Their fragile truce is a spark of defiance in a world choked by fear, but it’s about to ignite a firestorm.
A desperate search for medicine unearths a conspiracy that dwarfs their personal war. A fanatical architect of the Dominion plans to use an imminent solar eclipse to merge with an ancient, cosmic power source, remake the world in her own image, and ascend to godhood. The city isn't just a prison; it's a sacrificial altar, and the clock is ticking down to a cataclysm that will consume everything.
Their only hope lies buried in a dead man’s journal and a ghost from Megan’s past: the sister she believed was long dead. Forged over two decades into the Dominion’s most lethal living weapon, Jessica is the other key to the apocalyptic plan. To stop a god, Megan and Owen must navigate a dying world, confront a zealous new enemy, and make a devil's bargain with a monster who wears her sister’s face.
