Sinopsis

In the midst of relentless rain, six strangers find themselves trapped in a mysterious motel — a place where memories falter, identities fracture, and reality blurs. Each carries fragments of a hidden past, but none remember how they arrived or why they cannot leave.

The Other Side of the Hallway is a psychological thriller and existential mystery that delves deep into the human mind, exploring themes of fragmented identity, lost memories, and altered perception. Through multiple perspectives—an anxious woman haunted by unfamiliar recollections, a silent child who sees what others cannot, a man grappling with endless repetition—this novel unfolds like a haunting dream where nothing is as it seems.

As the motel’s corridors twist and the characters’ realities unravel, a chilling truth emerges: the boundaries between self and other, reality and illusion, are not what they appear to be. Who are they really? And what lies beyond the hallway?

Perfect for fans of psychological suspense, literary fiction, and mind-bending mysteries, The Other Side of the Hallway invites readers on an atmospheric journey through memory, identity, and the shadowy spaces between.

A high-stakes chase across the American West. A device that could change the world. Three unlikely allies thrown together by fate.

In the not so distant future, six mega corporations and their privatized armies have supplanted the American government. They compete for resources, market position, and the ultimate long game prize of colonizing the stars.

Chevy Cole left her conservative family behind for life as a Launch Tech marine and never looked back, proud of her role as a first-into-the-fire grunt, even if she were well below the revered female super soldiers known as Aces. When rumors spread that one of the Big Six has created a fusion device that would put the stars within reach, all-out war looms.

After the catastrophic failed siege of a Nevada mine leaves most of her comrades dead, Chevy encounters a dying Ace in possession of a mysterious package and a surprise: this Ace is a man. Joined by Dolon, an aging mercenary "phantom" sent by Launch Tech to transport the package to an Idaho safehouse, the three form an uneasy alliance.

As they try to outrun a rival corporation's ruthless agents across the desert in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, Chevy realizes that their survival may also determine who controls the future. But when greed is the only rule of law, who can she trust?

The police suspect a kitchen accident, but Tater notices the potatoes have been deliberately undercooked and the victim's review notes contain coded messages about restaurant sabotage. With her restaurant's reputation getting mashed and the culinary community in an uproar, Tater must whip through the evidence to save her business. Assisted by her kitchen crew and the handsome food scientist analyzing starch content, Tater uncovers a scheme involving potato substitution, dairy contamination, and a plot to undermine local restaurants. From suspicious lump patterns that reveal intentional undercooking to dairy proteins that don't match her recipe, every spoonful tells a story. But when Tater discovers the victim was systematically contaminating ingredients to force restaurants to fail health inspections, she realizes the killer is protecting food safety more comforting than any home-cooked meal. With the homecoming dinner approaching and the real saboteur still mashing lies, Tater must smooth out the truth before her own restaurant gets permanently smashed.

Herman Melville was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet of the American Renaissance period. Among his bestknown works are MobyDick (1851); Typee (1846), a romanticized account of his experiences in Polynesia; and Billy Budd, Sailor, a posthumously published novella. Although his reputation was not high at the time of his death, the 1919 centennial of his birth was the starting point of a Melville revival, and MobyDick grew to be considered one of the great American novels.

Melville's growing literary ambition showed in MobyDick (1851), which took nearly a year and a half to write, but it did not find an audience, and critics scorned his psychological novel Pierre: or, The Ambiguities (1852). From 1853 to 1856, Melville published short fiction in magazines, including "Benito Cereno" and "Bartleby, the Scrivener". In 1857, he traveled to England, toured the Near East, and published his last work of prose, The ConfidenceMan (1857). He moved to New York in 1863, eventually taking a position as United States customs inspector.

From that point, Melville focused his creative powers on poetry. BattlePieces and Aspects of the War (1866) was his poetic reflection on the moral questions of the American Civil War. In 1867, his eldest child Malcolm died at home from a selfinflicted gunshot. Melville's metaphysical epic Clarel: A Poem and Pilgrimage in the Holy Land was published in 1876. In 1886, his other son Stanwix died of apparent tuberculosis, and Melville retired. During his last years, he privately published two volumes of poetry, and left one volume unpublished. The novella Billy Budd was left unfinished at his death, but was published posthumously in 1924. Melville died from cardiovascular disease in 1891.
