Sinopsis

A few months ago was my birthday, and my boyfriend Bran announced that he got me tickets to my favorite band of all time, The Crime. Their lead singer was a deliciously hot guy named Zack, which was ninety percent of why I liked the band so much. I didn't want to tell that to Bran, though. We were both seniors in college, but Bran had some dumb idea that we were going to get married and he was incredibly jealous at the idea that I would be attracted to some other guy, even if he was an unattainable rock star.

I’m late for curfew once and my stepfather decides to spank me.
The kicker? I’m 18... way too old for a spanking. Also, he’s hot when he’s angry, and he’s been angry a lot since Mom started screwing around on him.
His demand is so irritating I snap at him. “Fine, you old bastard! Have at it!” And I drop my pants and bend over his knees.
When the first smack hits hot against my behind, I’m not prepared for my reaction. It hurts. But it also feels good.
    Way too good.
So good, pretty soon I can’t hide how turned on I am.
    And when he finds out?
    That’s when everything changes.
Casey's Secrets is the first novella in Ophelia Bell's kinky "Rebel Lust Taboo" series. It's a short, steamy read with an HEA, perfect for fans of Cherise Sinclair, Chelle Bliss, Jade West, Meghan March, Lynda Aicher, and Sawyer Bennett.

The Pharaoh and the Priest (Polish: Faraon) is the fourth and last major novel by the Polish writer Boleslaw Prus. It was the sole historical novel by an author who had earlier disapproved of historical novels on the ground that they inevitably distort history. Pharaoh has been described by Czeslaw Milosz as a "novel on mechanisms of state power and, as such, probably unique in world literature of the nineteenth century.... Prus, in selecting the reign of 'Pharaoh Ramses XIII' in the eleventh century BCE, sought a perspective that was detached from pressures of topicality and censorship. Pharaoh is set in the Egypt of 1087–85 BCE as that country experiences internal stresses and external threats that will culminate in the fall of its Twentieth Dynasty and New Kingdom. The young protagonist Ramses learns that those who would challenge the powers that be are vulnerable to co-option, seduction, subornation, defamation, intimidation and assassination. Perhaps the chief lesson, belatedly absorbed by Ramses as pharaoh, is the importance, to power, of knowledge. Prus' vision of the fall of an ancient civilization derives some of its power from the author's intimate awareness of the final demise of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1795, a century before the completion of the novel. This is a Kindred Tales PLUS novel--95,000 words A warrior has a choice to make:  Rescue the woman he loves Or complete a quest to heal himself Which will he choose? You’ll have to read Finding the Jewel to find out Chloe Deems is a plus sized girl with pink hair and an attitude –she owns her curves. Which is one reason she’s so upset when she gets abducted by aliens and forced to live in a Smart House designed to make her lose weight. She has to weigh in every day and the smart-aleck talking scale decides what she’s allowed to eat which is always lettuce and celery and never the delicious Thin Mints she can see peering tantalizingly out from behind the unbreakable glass cupboard in the kitchen. To Chloe, it seems like things just can’t get any worse…until a prospective buyer comes to look her over. Tark is a Beast Kindred who has been on the outside looking in his whole life. A debilitating stutter has kept him from finding a mate or settling down. Finally he gets a prophesy from a priestess telling him to seek for an elusive jewel which can cure his voice and Tark knows just where to look for it—in the house where Chloe is being held prisoner. But instead of the jewel, he finds a feisty, gorgeous plus-sized girl who’s ready to fight for her life. He agrees to rescue her if she’ll help him look in the only other place the jewel might be—the Resort of Resonant Oneness, located deep underground on a planet that straddles the lines between dimensions.  Chloe agrees to help the big Kindred out in return for her freedom but she doesn’t know that the resort they are traveling to has some distinctly erotic ideas about “oneness.” Now she and the huge Beast Kindred are stuck doing some incredible embarrassing and intimate exercises that make even the brash Chloe blush. Still, she and Tark seem to be growing closer…until a monster from her past kidnaps Chloe.  Tark is given a choice—between rescuing the woman he has come to love, or completing the task he set himself in the first place and regaining his voice.  Which will he choose? You’ll have to read Finding the Jewel to find out
