Summary

"Gitanjali" is a collection of poems by the Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. The English Gitanjali or Song Offerings is a collection of Tagore's own English translations of his Bengali poems. These poems highlight the many realizations author had under the crimson sky, casting his forlorn eye and pensive heart. Tagore received the Nobel Prize for Literature, largely for this book.
"Fruit-Gathering" is a collection of poems and a sequel to Gitanjali. In it, Tagore meditates simply and directly on the interplay between the individual and the surroundings.
"My Reminiscences" is an autobiography of the great Bengali poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore.

This collection of poems titled "Uplifted by Love " is a collection of poems inspired by the author's quest for spiritual enlightenment . It affords the author an opportunity to share his perceptions about life; the high concepts of love, purity and the divining of the Holy Grail whose origin is not of this world.
And when we speak of love and purity the concept of true womanhood is naturally implied. In her beauty and grace woman represents the ideal of these concepts as she continues to be a source of inspiration and support to manhood.
Interwoven with our unquenched longing for development, these concepts draw us along on our paths of experiencing; through our joys, pains, sorrows , births and deaths until in the awakening to self-conscious activity we are more and more able to truly perceive the greatness of the All-Powerful and Omnipotent Source of All, Whose Justice never wavers but Who also showers us with abundant joys in His great Love!
For the man oppressed by the perplexity and sorrows that comes with the dark veil of ignorance induced by our spiritual slumber and lukewarmness, through the recognitions afforded by these concepts, he will find himself aroused to joyful activity; and as one "Uplifted by Love", now bent on sharing this love, he will be glad to find that he too can be a channel for this true love whose origin is the essence of our Great Creator The Living Light, God Almighty.

King Lear is perhaps the most poignant character in literature. The aged, abused monarch is at once the consummate figure of authority and the classic example of the fall from majesty. He is widely agreed to be William Shakespeare's most moving, tragic hero.Award-winning writer and beloved professor Harold Bloom writes about Lear with wisdom, joy, exuberance, and compassion. He also explores his own personal relationship to the character: Just as we encounter one Emma Bovary or Hamlet when we are 17 and another when we are 40, Bloom writes about his shifting understanding — over the course of his own lifetime — of Lear, so that this audiobook also explores an extraordinarily moving argument for literature as a path to and a measure of our humanity.Bloom is mesmerizing in the classroom, wrestling with the often tragic choices Shakespeare's characters make. He delivers that kind of exhilarating intimacy, pathos, and clarity in Lear.

Poe’s stature as a major figure in world literature is based on his ingenious and profound poems, which established a highly influential rationale for the short form in poetry. Poe was also the principal forerunner of the “art for art’s sake” movement in 19th-century literature. He demonstrated a brilliant command of language and technique as well as an inspired and original imagination. Poe’s poetry greatly influenced the French Symbolists of the late 19th century, who in turn altered the direction of modern literature. Here, perhaps, is his most icon lauded work as interpreted by veteran actor Giuliano.
