Sinopsis

Meet Peevish—a grumpy, sharp-tongued feline with a distaste for anything remotely joyful. From the twinkle of Christmas lights to the cheerful carols of woodland creatures, Peevish has spent years ensuring the holidays stay far from his dreary, cluttered home. He's convinced the season is nothing more than an over-glorified mess of pointless traditions and saccharine sentimentality.

But this holiday, fate has other plans for him.

When Peevish's relentless efforts to sabotage his neighbors' festive cheer backfires, he finds himself face-to-face with Spark—a mischievous, magical red tiger cub with a sparkling bell and an unshakable belief in the power of holiday spirit. Spark doesn't take no for an answer, whisking Peevish away on an unforgettable journey through his past, present, and future.

In this heartwarming and hilarious adventure, Peevish is forced to confront long-forgotten memories of love and loss, witness the surprising joy he unknowingly inspires in others, and face the possibility of a brighter, more connected future. Along the way, he meets quirky characters, navigates laugh-out-loud situations, and begrudgingly begins to see the holidays in a new light.

But Peevish isn't about to change easily. Stubborn and sarcastic, he resists every step, convinced that embracing the holiday spirit would mean losing the grumpy, independent cat he's always been. Can Spark's infectious charm and the season's lessons help Peevish open his heart? Or will he remain the curmudgeon who turns his back on joy forever?

This illustrated gem is perfect for readers who love stories of redemption, festive humor, and a touch of magic, Peevish is a whimsical tale of transformation that will leave you smiling long after the final page.

If you've ever felt a little Scrooge-like during the holidays—or if you adore tales of unlikely heroes finding the courage to change—this delightful, fur-filled holiday story is for you. Prepare to laugh, cry, and fall in love with the season's grumpiest, most unforgettable feline!

Peevish reminds us that it's never too late to embrace the warmth of connection, the magic of the holidays, and the joy of believing in something bigger than ourselves.

Peevish: A Feline Holiday Tale of Humor and Heart

Peevish isn't your average cat—he's the grumpiest feline in the forest. He's spent years ruining the holidays for his woodland neighbors with his sarcastic wit, perpetual scowl, and disdain for all things festive. Twinkling lights? Hideous. Caroling critters? Infuriating. Joy? Completely overrated. Peevish's mission is to keep his world dull and holiday-free.

But when a prank goes awry, Peevish finds himself face-to-face with Spark, a tiny magical red tiger cub with a jingling bell and an unyielding belief in holiday magic. Spark whisks Peevish on a wild, whimsical journey through the past, present, and future to show him what he's been missing—and what he still stands to lose.

Through hilarious misadventures, surprising revelations, and heartwarming moments, Peevish must confront the scars of his past, the connections he's neglected, and the possibility of a brighter, more joyful future. But can a feline as stubborn and prickly as Peevish truly change?

Perfect for fans of holiday classics with a quirky twist, Peevish is a laugh-out-loud, heart-tugging tale about the magic of redemption, the importance of community, and the unexpected joy of opening your heart—even if it takes a mischievous magical tiger to show you how.

Let Peevish remind you this holiday season that it’s never too late to embrace the spirit of the season!

"The Evil Clergyman" is an excerpt from a letter written by American horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft in 1933. After his death, it was published in the April 1939 issue of Weird Tales as a short story. The letter, to his friend Bernard Austin Dwyer, recounted a dream that Lovecraft had had. Lovecraft frequently based stories on his dreams.
The story begins in the attic of an ancient house. The narrator’s companion refers to the former owner of the house and the presumably violent end that befell him. He advises the narrator not to stay after dark or touch anything, especially the small object on a table, which the companion seems to fear considerably.
The narrator is then left alone in the attic; he notes the many theological and classical books, and one bookshelf in particular containing books on magic. He feels a considerable curiosity for the forbidden object on the table. The narrator finds a strange flashlight-like device in his pocket that produces a peculiar violet glow. He attempts to illuminate the object on the table with this strange light, which he describes as being composed of particles. The object makes a crackling sound like a sparking vacuum tube, and takes on a pinkish glow with a vague white shape taking form from its center. The narrator, feeling that his surroundings are taking on strange new properties, realizes that he is not alone...
