Sinopsis

Sixteen-year-old Quinn is a liar, but she isn’t a murderer. When her sleepy town of Boiling Springs, North Carolina is roused by the murder of a local teen, Quinn is thrust into a life of danger, disrupting her normally unnoticeable existence. Now romantically involved with Gilly, the best friend of the dead girl who also happens to be the sheriff’s daughter, Quinn must navigate a budding relationship in the midst of all the chaos surrounding Gilly and her friend group.
 
However as the two girls grow closer, more clues pop up—and after the murder of another one of Gilly’s friends, the killings seem like anything but a coincidence. Quinn decides to take matters into her own hands and start an investigation for Gilly’s safety and her own. But with everyone in town lying (including herself), the suspect list keeps growing, with Gilly’s dad—the town sheriff—as her top suspect.
