Sinopsis

The cannabis industry has been growing exponentially globally and its development is attributed to cannabinoid compounds, thanks to their therapeutic potential and the industrial use of the plant through hemp. Compounds such as tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), and Cannabidiol (CBD) have been investigated by the pharmaceutical industry in the treatment of various health disorders. However, despite advances in cannabis legalization, it has been a challenge in some countries because of stigmas and prejudices towards the plant. 
As states and governments are understanding that sanctions and prohibitions for the cannabis plant cause more harm than the use of the plant itself, it is important to start discussing cannabis regulation with truthful tools based on scientific evidence, and to understand the need for social justice, overcoming the negative image that has been promulgated for several years to this millenary plant. 
For this reason, Pharmacology University invites you to learn about the regulatory and legal process of the cannabis plant in recent times, exploring the current legal situation globally, so that you can understand the importance of this plant as a therapeutic and sustainable alternative for health and human welfare, bringing great medical, economic and environmental benefits.
