Sinopsis

Ancient conspiracies and modern-day crimes collide in Pete Adams's 'Choir Of Assassins'. When the seventh officer of Hegemon is assassinated in the Temple Round Church, the body is taken under the London Bridge. Meanwhile, in Portsmouth, the Brainy Boy gang is found not guilty of assaulting Professor Violet Smith, leading former Detective Inspector Cherry Clarke to take matters into her own hands.

However, each of the Brainy Boys is brutally assassinated soon after. As the retired First Sea Lord of the Admiralty is also killed, the discovery of seven severed pinkie fingers sets off alarms in the Mammon crime profiling and data storage programme. With the help of Bong from the Serious Crime Unit of Scotland Yard and Grace Church of MI5, Cherry investigates the mysterious links between these crimes and the Royal Peculiar. But when Professor Smith asks her to become her avuncular, Cherry realizes she might be in over her head.

Full of suspense, twists, and turns, 'Choir Of Assassins' is a must-read for fans of gripping mysteries.

"The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans" is one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is one of eight stories in the cycle collected as His Last Bow, and is the second and final appearance of Mycroft Holmes. Doyle ranked "The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans" fourteenth in a list of his nineteen favourite Sherlock Holmes stories.
The monotony of thick smog-shrouded London is broken by a sudden visit from Holmes' brother Mycroft. He has come about some missing, secret submarine plans. Seven of the ten pages - three are still missing - were found with Arthur Cadogan West's body. He was a young clerk in a government office at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, whose body was found next to the Underground tracks near the Aldgate tube station, his head crushed. He had little money with him (although there appears to have been no robbery), theatre tickets, and curiously, no Underground ticket. The three missing pages by themselves could enable one of Britain's enemies to build a Bruce-Partington submarine.

One week before the swanky, vino-drenched Flight of Fancy Charity Auction in Sonoma, California, someone decides that blending grape varieties just isn’t thrilling enough and goes full-blown murder mystery. A shady character—who apparently had a side hustle crafting counterfeit bottles of extremely pricey wine—ends up very dead. And by "very dead," we mean unrecognizable: wallet gone, car missing, computer swiped, and face… well, let’s just say the killer took “faceless” quite literally.
Enter Sarah McKee, our wine expert and (probably) the only person who can sniff out a wine’s origin and potentially a murder victim. But instead of a solid lead, all she finds is a crumpled piece of paper in the dead guy's pocket—a bunch of random numbers, circles, and checkmarks that looks like the world’s least fun Sudoku.
Then, as if one mysterious murder weren’t enough to pair with a nice Merlot, a second victim shows up. This time, the murder weapon points directly at Sarah’s good friend Zach Sullivan, who’s already knee-deep in his own woes: thanks to his dad’s gambling habits. And to make matters worse, Zach’s the only one with even a whiff of motive for offing both victims.
Determined to clear Zach's name, Sarah teams up with a smokin’ hot sheriff who follows the rulebook like it's his life’s work. Together, they sift through Sonoma’s secrets, hoping the counterfeit crew behind this wine scheme will slip up before they get corked themselves. But as they uncover the twisted plot, Sarah realizes the list from the pocket isn’t just a grocery list of fine vintages—it’s the key to unmasking the whole operation.
Now, the question is: can Sarah connect the dots, reveal the killer at the auction, and clear Zach’s name before they’re all served up with a sinister side of danger? Grab your glass—it’s about to get bubbly.
