Sinopsis

In a world where conformity reigns supreme, Radclyffe Hall dared to defy convention and embrace her true self. "The Unheard Melody" is a captivating journey through the life and work of this extraordinary woman, a pioneer who shattered societal norms and paved the way for generations to come.

Born into a privileged family in the late 19th century, Hall's early life was marked by both comfort and a sense of restlessness. She found solace and liberation in the realm of literature, using her writing as a means to explore the complexities of human existence and break free from the constraints of societal expectations.

With the publication of her groundbreaking novel, "The Well of Loneliness," Hall ignited a firestorm of controversy. The novel, a poignant and unflinching exploration of lesbian love and identity, challenged prevailing social and moral attitudes, daring to shed light on a hidden and marginalized community.

Despite the backlash and condemnation she faced, Hall remained steadfast in her conviction, refusing to compromise her artistic integrity or betray the truth of her own experience. She became a symbol of defiance, a champion for LGBTQ+ rights, and a beacon of hope for those struggling to find their place in a world that often seemed hostile and unwelcoming.

Hall's legacy extends far beyond the pages of her novels. Her fearless exploration of gender and sexuality, her unwavering commitment to authenticity, and her enduring fight for equality continue to resonate with readers today. She stands as a reminder that the power of the written word can transcend time, challenging societal norms, fostering empathy, and inspiring change.

"The Unheard Melody" is more than just a biography; it is a celebration of Radclyffe Hall's life and work, an exploration of her enduring impact on literature and culture, and a testament to the transformative power of the human spirit. Through Hall's journey, we are reminded that it is in embracing our true selves, even in the face of adversity, that we find our greatest strength and purpose.

When an old man at the tavern suggests someone who could rid the province of Dorraine of its eternal winter would be a hero, it gives Niall, an apprentice carpenter, an idea. All he needs to do is find such a man, a sorcerer of great power, he thinks.
It means traveling over the high mountains in search of such a person, if one exists. Something he knows he can't do alone. So he persuades three of his apprentice friends to join him. They need to find a mercenary to escort and protect them, as their Masters are unwilling to allow them to make the quest without one.
Renard enters the picture. It takes a fair amount of persuasion, and the willingness of the merchants to pay his fees, but finally he agrees.
Once they have everything they need -- clothing, food, weapons, and mules and a cart to transport all they had -- they set out.
As they fight snow and wind-blown blizzards through the canyon leading to their destination, or so they hope, Niall and Renard form a bond which might go beyond friendship, despite the disparity in their ages.
Can they make it to the other side of the mountains alive, with the weather, wolves, and brigands to contend with? If so, will they find a land with all the seasons, and most importantly, a sorcerer willing to help? They pray it's possible but only time will tell.

"Hmmm, an alien, an angel, and a dead prophet. Welcome. We've been expecting you. Please come in."

Operating a piece of heavy machinery, for example, a time machine under the influence of tainted human blood, is never a good idea, especially if my oldest friend and onboard computer, Lasitor, vowed to protect not only me but my bloodline for eternity.

This is my story. If you haven't figured that out by now, I feel sorry for you and your parents. Anyhow, this is how I found my soulmate by accident in a time and place not written down in your human history books.

My story comes with a warning label. It is a time travel, speculative science fiction fantasy—I'm spelling it out for those slow to grasp things like this. It contains elements that might shock or confuse you. Your human history about where you came from, and where you think you are going, might or might not be as you imagined. The explicit, graphic depictions of my love life and my travels are unsuitable for young, sensitive readers or anyone offended by gay sex.

Thank you to the wonderful author who has taken the time to meticulously document everything.

Want: Spencer wants to live in the moment, but he can’t stop thinking about that night. And it doesn’t help that he and Wolf keep knocking heads…and locking lips.
