  How to regain your power after begging and pleading 
  How can you regain the power back after doing all the begging and pleading and crying and all that shit like that? 
    when you are begging and pleading and crying, understand that’s natural. It’s called the fear of loss, you have the fear of losing something. You might not notice that the person already mentally checked out on you for whatever reason only they can tell you.  
  This is what you can do to regain your power back: 
  1. Stop all that- because it’s not going to do any good. The more you beg and plead and do all this nice stuff and jump though all these monkey ass hoops for this person, they don’t care, they are not there mentally, their mind gone, so the best thing for you to do is stop, just stop. That’s the first thing you can do to start regaining your power back, stop all that. 
  2. Then what you want to do is Become independent- the more you don’t need that person, the more that person wants you. It’s backwards, its nature, it is set up that way. The more you don’t want something the more you get it. Kind of like rich people, they get richer because they are already rich, they are not working for money. But what I’m trying to tell you is this, when you don’t need them and you are self-reliant, and you are independent and you don’t need them for absolutely nothing, they’ll want you. Now this goes in business, whatever area of your life you want to place it in, when you don’t need it there it is. Really this is how you operate from a position of power, always remember people want what they can't have.

  Should prisons attempt reform and uplift inmates or, by means of principled punishment, deter them from further wrongdoing? This debate has raged in Western Europe and in the United States at least since the late eighteenth century. Joseph F. Spillane examines the failure of progressive reform in New York State by focusing on Coxsackie, a New Deal reformatory built for young male offenders. Opened in 1935 to serve "adolescents adrift," Coxsackie instead became an unstable and brutalizing prison. From the start, the liberal impulse underpinning the prison's mission was overwhelmed by challenges it was unequipped or unwilling to face—drugs, gangs, and racial conflict.Spillane draws on detailed prison records to reconstruct a life behind bars in which "ungovernable" young men posed constant challenges to racial and cultural order. The New Deal order of the prison was unstable from the start; the politics of punishment quickly became the politics of race and social exclusion, and efforts to save liberal reform in postwar New York only deepened its failures. In 1977, inmates took hostages to focus attention on their grievances. The result was stricter discipline and an end to any pretense that Coxsackie was a reform institution.Why did the prison fail?   The birth of Europe as people know it today was hardly an easy and effortless process. The end of antiquity was shaped by centuries of continuous wars, raids, and the falls and rises of empires. The most turbulent of these events happened at the beginning of the Middle Ages, from the 3rd-7th centuries CE. This was the time when the old slave society gave way to the feudal system that marked the latter Middle Ages, and it was also a period of battles between the Roman Empire and various barbarian peoples. The Roman Emperors waged wars, made and broke alliances, and bribed and negotiated with chieftains of various “barbarian” tribes to preserve the territorial integrity of their Empires. 
  After Julius Caesar conquered Gaul in the mid-1st century BCE, Augustus and his successors eventually began a program of Romanization that, in a remarkably short period of time, transformed Gaul into four provinces. All of these locales added enormously to the Roman Empire in terms of manpower, material goods and wealth. Even today, historians are amazed at how such a large population that was not without its own systems of administration and vibrant culture and tradition could so easily succumb to Rome’s pacification process, and to such an extent that, within short periods of time, the indigenous language and traditions of the Celtic peoples of Gaul were totally supplanted. The reasons why Rome was able to subjugate and then transform what was for that time an immense population of over 10 million people lie not only in its military superiority but its system of organization and its conscious program of Romanization.  
  	Ironically, even as Rome’s control over Gaul kept modern France fragmented, the medieval dynasties that sprouted up in the area looked up to the Romans as their predecessors, and in essence they would attempt to recreate the Roman Empire.
