Sinopse

**Heading North: An American Journey** tells the story of the millions of African Americans who left the rural South for the industrial North in the early 20th century. This mass movement of people was one of the most significant events in American history, and it had a profound impact on both the North and the South.

In the South, the Great Migration left behind a region that was economically depressed and racially divided. In the North, it helped to fuel the growth of major industrial cities like Chicago, Detroit, and New York. The migrants brought with them their culture and traditions, which helped to shape the cultural landscape of the North.

The Great Migration was a time of both opportunity and challenge for African Americans. They faced discrimination and prejudice in the North, but they also found new opportunities for work, education, and social advancement. The Great Migration also helped to raise awareness of the plight of African Americans in the South and contributed to the growing civil rights movement.

**Heading North: An American Journey** is a powerful and moving account of the Great Migration, told through the eyes of the men, women, and children who made the journey. This book is a testament to the courage, resilience, and determination of African Americans in the face of adversity. It is a story that is still relevant today, at a time when America is once again grappling with issues of race and inequality.

**Heading North: An American Journey** is a must-read for anyone interested in American history, African American history, or the civil rights movement. It is a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.

The people that came to be known as Germans originally came from Scandinavia and were mainly shepherds and hunters, but they comprised a number of distinct groups. Within each group, there were separate tribes, and as their populations grew, the land they occupied in Scandinavia was unable to support them, so they began migrating south, settling outside the borders of the Roman Empire. The Germans were fierce warriors who employed rather crude but effective tactics in battle. Their main approach was one of charging directly at an enemy and fighting hand-to-hand using their long swords and shields. Body armor was unknown, and they wore only animal-skins. Most warriors wore their hair long, dyed red and greased into ponytails.
Friction between Rome and the German tribes can be traced back as far as 113 BCE, and the next 500 years brought full-scale campaigns by the Romans against the various individual tribes, resulting in numerous battles and constant uprisings wherever any part of the land east of the Rhine was occupied for any length of time. The impact of this constant warfare on both sides cannot be underestimated, and all the while, the fighting and other interactions had massive cultural and political influences going in both directions.
Although Caesar led two secondary campaigns across the Rhine against the Germans, both were unsuccessful. Among the Germans who stymied Caesar’s plans, those who gave the Romans the most problems were the Suebi. Caesar’s account of his Gallic campaign included the first documented account of the Suebi, who were described as fearless warriors, yet wholly uncivilized and barbaric in the eyes of the Romans. The Suebi lived north of the Rhine for hundreds of years, mostly unaffected by Rome’s expansion, and while the Romans and the Suebi did have early contact with each other, those contacts were relatively inconsequential.

Many of the systems built to serve people instead do more harm than good.

In Broken, Dr. Paul LeBlanc, president of Southern New Hampshire University, draws on his experience working in one such system—education—to reconnect us to the human facets of serving people. In doing so, he charts a course for rebuilding and reinhabiting better systems across education, healthcare, criminal justice, government, and more.

The United States spends enormous sums on helping people—$3.8 trillion on healthcare, $182 billion on prisons, and $604 billion on higher education—and yet these systems routinely fail us.

When we seek to improve how they function, our efforts focus on policy debates, technical solutions, funding, and data. But if these systems are to truly improve, we have to start with the human values that fuel decision making.

Broken explores the deeply human dimensions we must consider—aspiring, discovering, mattering—if we want to rebuild the policies, technologies, processes, and, most importantly, the heart we use to serve people.

Over 5000 years before Christ an amazing thing happened that would change the course of human history.

Hidden from us by misunderstanding, mistranslation and clouded in mythology, the birth of religion on this planet was no mere accident. It was the result of an alien invasion on a vast scale and it sparked the worship of the ancient gods. Those gods are the oldest recorded figures of worship anywhere in history. They are the root of all the major world religions. They gave rise to the great powers of Egypt, Mesopotamia and more. They spread outwards around the world and were the genesis of a special holy bloodline that remains with us today.

One of their descendants would be caught, beaten and crucified. And yet he would rise from his grave, unrecognisable and accompanied by messengers of light. He would ascend in the sky having cast off his shrouded skin. His bloodline would give rise to the royal families of the entire world. His bloodline would be protected, defended and would control the globe.

He was a descendant of the great serpent elite, who came to earth as beings of light to teach mankind. He was a descendant of the great giant killer, David. A memory of a great battle that was fought between the serpent elite and the sons of alien and man.

They were known as giants in the land. The aliens escaped earth but left behind their seed and tools of power and communication. It is prophesied that they shall return and the signs are growing daily that they have returned and are right now dealing with their own elite bloodline - the men in power.

This is the untold story of a very real and ancient alien invasion.
