Sinopsis

In the heart of North America, where vast skies meet tranquil wetlands, a remarkable story of restoration unfolds. Guardians of the Sky: A New Legacy chronicles the awe-inspiring journey of Project Skyward, a dedicated team of scientists and conservationists embarking on a mission to reintroduce the majestic trumpeter swans to their ancestral migratory routes.

From the icy lands of Alaska, ten-day-old cygnets, symbols of hope and resilience, are entrusted to the care of the project team. With meticulous precision, they create a special uniform, a disguise that conceals their human form, allowing the cygnets to retain their wild instincts and preventing imprinting.

As the cygnets grow and mature, the team faces the daunting task of preparing them for their extraordinary migration. Using ultralight aircraft, they patiently teach the cygnets to follow, guiding them along a carefully charted route that will lead them back to their rightful home.

The migration journey is fraught with challenges and uncertainties. The cygnets encounter treacherous weather, unfamiliar landscapes, and the ever-present threat of predators. Yet, they persevere, driven by an innate sense of direction and the unwavering support of their human guardians.

Guardians of the Sky: A New Legacy is not just a story of conservation; it is a testament to the extraordinary bond between humans and nature. It is a celebration of the resilience and adaptability of these magnificent creatures, and a reminder of our responsibility to protect and preserve the delicate balance of the natural world.

Join Project Skyward on their inspiring mission as they soar through the skies, carrying with them the hopes and dreams of a brighter future, where trumpeter swans reclaim their rightful place in the symphony of nature. Witness the triumphs and setbacks, the heartbreak and exhilaration, as these dedicated individuals strive to restore the harmony between humanity and wildlife.

A Little Journey by Ray Bradbury - She'd paid good money to see the inevitable... and then had to work to make it happen!
There were two important things—one, that she was very old; two, that Mr. Thirkell was taking her to God. For hadn't he patted her hand and said: "Mrs. Bellowes, we'll take off into space in my rocket, and go to find Him together."
And that was how it was going to be. Oh, this wasn't like any other group Mrs. Bellowes had ever joined. In her fervor to light a path for her delicate, tottering feet, she had struck matches down dark alleys, and found her way to Hindu mystics who floated their flickering, starry eyelashes over crystal balls. She had walked on the meadow paths with ascetic Indian philosophers imported by daughters-in-spirit of Madame Blavatsky. She had made pilgrimages to California's stucco jungles to hunt the astrological seer in his natural habitat. She had even consented to signing away the rights to one of her homes in order to be taken into the shouting order of a temple of amazing evangelists who had promised her golden smoke, crystal fire, and the great soft hand of God coming to bear her home.
None of these people had ever shaken Mrs. Bellowes' faith, even when she saw them sirened away in a black wagon in the night, or discovered their pictures, bleak and unromantic, in the morning tabloids. The world had roughed them up and locked them away because they knew too much, that was all.
And then, two weeks ago, she had seen Mr. Thirkell's advertisement in New York City:
    COME TO MARS!
Stay at the Thirkell Restorium for one week. And then, on into space on the greatest adventure life can offer!
Send for Free Pamphlet: "Nearer My God To Thee." Excursion rates. Round trip slightly lower.

Captain Frank and First Mate Tank are ready for another exciting adventure at sea!
Frank (an otter) and Tank (a hippopotamus) are best friends and captain and first mate of the tugboat Stinky Sue. And on their latest voyage, they discover an extra crewmate—a stowaway! Curtis hides aboard the tugboat during his class field trip. Good thing he does, because Frank and Tank need extra help when they are called to rescue a pirate ship. No boat too big, no boat too small, the Stinky Sue will save them all!
Frank and Tank: Stowaway is told through simple, declarative sentences with an emphasis on phonics, and colorful (and silly!) illustrations will delight newly emerging readers interested in adventure, the ocean, harbors, and friendship.
Frank and Tank: Stowaway is a Level 1 I Can Read book, which means it's perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences.
Phonics teaches children the relationship between letters and the sounds they make. A child who has mastered these relationships has an excellent foundation for learning to read and spell. According to the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, a child who has learned phonics has a method to recognize familiar words and "decode" unfamiliar ones.
