I'd had it with magic. Me and it were no longer friends. This addict went cold turkey. Five years I'd been clean for, not even a taste of the good stuff. No longer a space cadet.Life was quiet, life was good. Life was as boring as a conference on boring hosted by Professor Boring McBoring from Boringsville University. So, I have to admit, that when I got drawn back into the Hidden world I wasn't as reluctant as I made out. What I wasn't expecting was having to deal with a dragon holding the dwarves' gold hostage, accidentally unleashing a maniac on the city, and fighting for my life as everything goes into free fall. Oh, plus I've got myself lumbered with a rather keen wizard-in-training.Now I'm almost out of time, certainly out of luck, but I have responsibilities and I will fight until the bitter end. Problem being, the end is looking decidedly nasty, and a blast from our collective past threatens to leave the entire world a barren wasteland.Hi, I'm Faz Pound, and once again you can call me Black Spark, Dark Magic Enforcer.I'm also considering swearing off the magic again.Maybe.

Notopia is an alternate universe constructed by the collective thousands of years ago. Dreams and aspirations live alongside people until they recognize and accept each other. At which time, they are blissfully swept back to reality to forge ahead with their new alliance. However, all is not well in this wondrous place. An unforeseen assault is afoot in Notopia that will destroy Notopia and all of humanity if not stopped. The heroine of the story, Gwen, travels to Notopia, encountering many people and many dreams. It is both fascinating and unsettling to her at first, but she quickly gains confidence and discovers an evil presence is there as well. The evil entity is hell-bent on gaining control of the human subconscious and conscious minds. And it has found a way to do that by first destroying Notopia and stopping the ability to dream. Once done, it will then feed off the negative energy produced by fear and anger in humans. And if we can't dream, we can never come up with a way to stop it. Gwen finds new friends, finds exciting dreams, and finds love. Unfortunately, Her love finds his dream and must now choose between her, but that is not her biggest problem.

The Thing in the Attic depicts a very successful seeding project (humans are modified to live in various alien environments). It tells the story of a small group of intellectuals from a primitive culture of modified monkey-like humans living in the trees of their jungle world. Having openly voiced the opinion that the godly giants do not literally exist as put down in the book of laws, they are banished from the treetops for heresy. In their exile on the ground they have to adapt to vastly different circumstances, fight monsters resembling dinosaurs, and finally happen upon the godly giants—who turn out to be human scientists who have just arrived on the world to monitor the progress of the local adapted humans. The protagonists are told by the scientists that their whole race must eventually leave the treetops to conquer their world and that they have become pioneers of some sort for accomplishing survival.
