Sinopsis

"Faithful Servant: Understanding Biblical Service in Contemporary Life" offers a comprehensive exploration of biblical servanthood and its modern applications, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary leadership challenges. The book masterfully weaves together theological foundations, historical context, and practical implementation strategies, making it a valuable resource for both religious leaders and secular professionals seeking to understand and apply servant leadership principles.

Through careful examination of key biblical figures like Moses, David, and Paul, the book illuminates how servant leadership manifested in various historical contexts. It delves deep into the linguistic roots of servanthood by analyzing Hebrew and Greek terms, while simultaneously drawing connections to modern organizational behavior and leadership theory. This interdisciplinary approach sets it apart from traditional biblical studies by incorporating insights from contemporary leadership research and organizational psychology.

The book's three-part structure progressively builds understanding, moving from theoretical foundations to practical application. Starting with biblical definitions and historical examples, it culminates in concrete frameworks for implementing servant leadership across various contexts—from ministry to business environments. What makes this work particularly valuable is its ability to maintain scholarly rigor while providing accessible, actionable guidance through case studies, reflection questions, and implementation strategies. This balance makes it an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to integrate biblical principles of service into their leadership approach.

You're not sure what you think about God. You're not an atheist – you're not that confident of his non-existence. You're not a Christian or a Muslim, though you've got nothing against either of them. You prefer to identify as a humble agnostic. Some would say you're sitting on the fence, but why not? It's a comfortable enough place to be. Why can't we all just admit we don't know?Yet sometimes you do have questions. Where did we come from? What happens when we die? Can anyone make sense of all the suffering in the world? What's it all for? You wouldn't mind answers to some of them, as long as no one tried to brainwash you. You're not 100% sure that you enjoy not being sure.

2023 Literary Titan Gold Book Award and 2023 Reader Views Five Star Review:
Spirits Unveiled is an in-depth study of angelic beings, ghosts, and demonic entities and the deliverance from such spirits. The book engages angelology and demonology to examine the mysterious realm of the spirit world.
In Spirits Unveiled, Manning calls attention to the harmful tactics used in the deliverance ministry, such as binding and loosing, generational curses, and false doctrines concerning sickness, while shedding light on demons and deliverance. Spirits Unveiled investigates Hellenism, Greek thought, and the exile to Babylon that affected ancient Judaism concerning angelic spirits and demons. Read the entire series Unmasking the Unseen to examine doctrines that have evolved.

Rina Kirsch is a young mother and Modern Orthodox Jew in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles. Dutifully keeping to the formidable expectations of a traditional household connects Rina with generations past and those to come. But a contradiction burns at her center: Rina is an atheist. She is also stymied in her life and marriage.

Hoping to reinvigorate their relationship, Rina's husband convinces her to partake in a night of wife swapping with other Orthodox couples. Rather than preserve her marriage, however, the swap plunges Rina down a heady path that begins with a rekindled passion for painting and culminates in an intoxicating affair with Will Ochoa, her married art teacher. Clandestine rendezvous and stolen moments of ardor awaken Rina to an existence beyond the confining parameters of tradition, offering a glimpse at the possible life she left behind in the olive groves of her youth. As the blush of erotic thrill comes into sharp contrast with the complications of living a secret life, Rina must decide if it's worth sacrificing everything she's ever known to fully inhabit the uncharted landscape unfolding before her, one where her needs take precedence. Olive Days is an unforgettable story of the agonizing choices women make to balance duty against desire.
