Sinopsis

Do you know only one thing is needed? And if we find out what that one thing is and focus on it, everything else will follow along with us.

As we live in a world where we live very busy lives, especially if you live in a busy city, we are faced with many challenges at work, at home, and at school with a long list of things we want to accomplish. Sadly, when we fail to accomplish this in time, we become frustrated and depressed.

As a result, I feel compelled to share this critical message with my generation of anxious and desperate young minds. In writing this book, I hope to draw the attention of many young minds in my generation to the one thing that is truly important for them to seek and care about with their hearts, minds, souls and spirits. This book also reveals five principles they will need to chart their own destiny, discover their purpose, and live a peaceful and contented life when they apply these principles.

This book reveals the one thing needed to transform your life, apply the principles you learn and watch your life explode into greatness.

    Read by the authors.
No one wants to miss out. But our culture is changing so rapidly we all feel like outsiders. What if that's exactly what Jesus wants? It's time to leave behind the fear of missing out and embrace JOMO: the joy of missing out!
You probably feel more like an outsider in our culture today than you did ten years ago. If that's the case, you're not alone. The question is, what kind of outsider will you become? Will you become a combative outsider and rage against your enemies? Will you become a conformist outsider and mirror the world around you? Will you become a conflict-averse outsider and avoid confrontation at all costs?
Jesus has so much for you. He's called you to be a joyful outsider like him. He was crucified as an outcast outside the city. Now he welcomes you to join him; to die to yourself and discover that sacrificial love has the power to change the world.
In Joyful Outsiders, pastors Patrick Miller and Keith Simon will train you how to be a joyful outsider by laying out six ways to navigate a confusing culture at home, at work, and beyond. They draw on the examples of biblical characters to introduce six types of joyful outsiders: the artist, the protestor, the builder, the advisor, the ambassador, and the trainer. In Joyful Outsiders, you will:Discover joy by embracing your identity as an outsiderFind which of the six ways God is calling you to followExperience freedom from fear of the world and anger toward itLearn how to both resist and cultivate the world around you

You might be an outsider in today's world, but that doesn't mean Jesus can't use you to change it. God wants to guide you into your calling, train you for action, and equip you to become a confident, Christlike culture changer.

When you personally experience Jesus’s journey through His earthly life—sharing in His ministry, encounters, prayers, joys, sorrows, dangers, and miracles—that journey will shape and direct your own life in unforgettable ways. Jesus in Us: A 90-Day Devotional offers a transformational invitation to walk in Jesus’s footsteps. In this book, you will follow Jesus as He celebrates the Last Supper, is falsely condemned to death, suffers the agony of crucifixion, is gloriously raised from the dead, and ascends to heaven—with the promise of empowering us by His Spirit, who will live within us and enable us continue Jesus’s ministry on earth. Each day features a Scripture reading, a "Life Lessons" segment, questions for reflection, and a prayer. Jesus promised to send us His own Spirit so that the historical truth of “Jesus with us” could become the powerful reality of “Jesus in us” for all time and eternity. Jesus in Us is the fourth book in the Life Along the Way series, which takes you through the life of Jesus in all four Gospels and the first chapter of Acts. In four 90-day devotionals, you can travel with Jesus for a full year if you wish—from His birth, to His ministry and miracles, to His relationships with the people around Him, to His death, resurrection, and ascension. The three other devotionals, which you can read either sequentially or in any order, are #1, Jesus with Us: Meeting Him Where He Began, #2, Jesus Among Us: Walking with Him in His Ministry and Miracles, and #3, Jesus Through Us: Following His Example in Love and Service. As you journey each day with the Savior, you will learn to love Jesus and love like Jesus.
