Sinopsis

As a black belt, Tyler helps his students face their fears, but he has yet to come to terms with his own bisexuality. When he finds a new sparring partner in Jaime, an openly gay man struggling to find his place in the dojo, Tyler is surprised at how right it feels to be intertwined with him.
Determined to put his partying days behind him, Jaime returns to martial arts training and swears off one-night stands. He is finally ready to look for something more when Tyler approaches him with a request - help Tyler explore his new found sexuality. Their physical relationship intensifies in secret. It isn't long before their time together becomes about something more than just sex.
Despite their growing closeness, Tyler refuses to acknowledge their relationship in public. Now Jaime must choose between returning to his former lifestyle and falling in love with someone afraid to embrace him in front of their friends. Tyler doesn't want to lose Jaime as a student, much less as a lover, but can he overcome his fears and accept his new identity?

Working as a stripper and escort is anything but easy. You are often treated like a living blow-up doll and a therapist simultaneously. It’s a life that many judge easily…until you know more. Sita Kaylin, a California native who’s been in the sex industry since 1992, has lived the pitfalls of being naked in front of strangers and the absurdities that arise when you fake intimacy for a living.
Sita left home when she was sixteen, worked hard at several jobs and eventually started college after dropping out of high school. There, a roommate turned her on to stripping, revealing a way out of the crushing financial pressures she felt and her struggles as a pre-law student with very little time or energy to study. She had no idea how wild her journey would become and what a large part of her life it would be. Sita’s stories take shape through an often altered, occasionally sarcastic, sometimes illegal, and frequently funny magnifying glass she holds up to not just the sex industry, but also to human needs and desires, modern relationships, mental health, personal independence.
Anything But a Wasted Life is the autobiography of an unorthodox journey about a woman who has rarely said “no” to life. The majority of this book was written in strip clubs and dive bars around Los Angeles.

After Jess Keefe ended things with her long-term boyfriend, she moved in with her brother Matt in hopes that family could help her not only heal from the break-up but also evolve into a healthy adult. But that fantasy ended when Matt’s heroin addiction came roaring back after lying dormant for years, leading to a fatal overdose on a warm October night.
Thirty-Thousand Steps is a powerful and transformative memoir that interweaves the author’s obsessive training to becoming a distance runner, along with her singular, focused research into the science of addiction in the shadow of grief after the death of her brother.
In the year that followed Matt’s death, Jess lived alone for the first time in her life while struggling with a loose, bereaved mind. She became obsessed with what happened to her brother and how things could have been different. She dove into research about addiction and drugs. She excavated their shared childhood and young adulthood for clues.
During this time, she was also learning how to become a distance runner. Jess pushed her body to its limits to quiet the chaos in her mind. After losing Matt, she knew she’d never be the same.
With a propulsive narrative, a unique voice, empathy, and even humor, Jess weaves her grieving experience together with explorations of the social, political, and scientific drivers that influenced what happened to her brother. Thirty-Thousand Steps explores the psychosocial risk factors that lead to addiction, the cudgel of Catholicism, the joy and shame in the early-aughts queer experience, and the extent to which one can push mind and body to regenerate after a major loss.

City planner Remy McIntosh and architect Lane Anders are back from the best-selling novel, Just the Three of Us, to plan their Christmas wedding! When Remy married Kate, he'd only done so because it was the right thing to do, as she was pregnant with Braden. This time around, he's marrying for love, and he wants everything to be just right.
At the time of their engagement, Virginia didn't allow same-sex couples to marry, so Lane suggests they splurge and plan the perfect wedding in Hawaii. Because the island is so far away, Remy hires someone local to plan everything for them. He hates giving up so much control, but the wedding planner is someone Lane knew in high school, so she can't be all bad, can she?
Unfortunately, things go wrong right from the start. Remy hopes to spend a week alone at Christmas with his lover in Hawaii before their families arrive for the wedding. But his son is erroneously booked on the same flight as Remy and Lane, and they have to spend their romantic tropical holiday entertaining a nine year old boy. Then the wedding planner disappears for the weekend to participate in a surfing competition.
When Remy decides to obtain a marriage license on his own, he discovers he needs proof of his divorce, which he doesn't have with him, and Kate's stuck in Virginia in a freak snowstorm that may ground her plane until after the wedding is scheduled to take place.
As things continue to spiral out of his control, Remy doesn't know whether to laugh at his troubles or cry with frustration. Will he and Lane get to say "I do" on an Hawaiian island beach? Or should they just throw in the towel and elope back in the courthouse in Virginia?
